According to conservative pundit, Kathleee Parker (hat tip to Kathleen on the Depends Undergarmets analogy):

"the GOP has surrendered its high ground to its lowest brows.....Suffice it to say, the Republican Party is largely comprised of white, married Christians. Anyone watching the two conventions last summer can't have missed the stark differences: One party was brimming with energy, youth and diversity; the other felt like an annual Depends sales meeting."

White, married Christians are the "lowest brows"? If anyone said this about any other group, the moderators would put this thread in the "Hate" section.

    But they won't.

Hey, white people! Are you starting to get the feeling that it isn't really conservative platforms the system doesn't like, it's YOUR WHITE FACE?

No. I think someone tells letwingers they're supposed to hate rightwingers so they do, and vice-versa. I also think neither side really knows why.

Let me know when you figure out it's about power and money and not skin color.

And don't derail this thread into an issue of race. You have your own little forum I created just for you. Please use it.

It's about time they recognized that pandering to the fundies made them look ridiculous.

Hey, it was a rightwinger who wrote this, not me.

Personally, I agree with you. And I think Kathleen Parker is wrong.

I think the GOP should embrace the fundamentalist christian rightwing even more, and tie their party to the fundamentalist's agenda.

I don't think the dig was against white christian republicans but against the religious right in general.

No it's about republicans pandering to the religious right and having it backfire on them. They deserve what they got in the last election.
