Scorecard: How Many Rights Have Americans REALLY Lost?

(1) -- The 1st Amendment protects speech, religion, assembly and the press.

However, the government is arresting those speaking out … and violently crushing peaceful assemblies which attempt to petition the government for redress. A federal judge found that the law allowing indefinite detention of Americans without due process has a “chilling effect” on free speech. There are also enacted laws allowing the secret service to arrest anyone protesting near the president or other designated folks.
****** The threat of being labeled a terrorist for exercising our First Amendment rights certainly violates the First Amendment. The government is using laws to crush dissent, and it’s gotten so bad that even U.S. Supreme Court justices are saying that we are descending into tyranny. ******
And 1st Amendment rights are especially chilled when power has become so concentrated that the same agency which spies on all Americans also decides who should be assassinated.

One of the few positive take aways from that research, is most Americans see gov as threatening.

"Scorecard: How Many Rights Have Americans REALLY Lost?"

Ignorant, hyperbolic nonsense – Americans haven't 'lost' any rights, the notion is idiocy.

You need to stop reading these delusional, paranoid blogs.

To understand the workings of American politics, you have to understand this fundamental law: Conservatives think liberals are stupid. Liberals think conservatives are evil. — Charles Krauthammer Even liberals who've accomplished a lot in their lives and have high IQs often say things on a regular basis that are stunningly, profoundly stupid and at odds with the way the world works. Modern liberalism has become so bereft of common sense and instinctually suicidal that America can only survive over the long haul by thwarting the liberal agenda. In fact, liberalism has become such a toxic and poisonous philosophy that most...

Do you have anything besides hot air to dispute the article? Just curious.

Apathy is the cause.

The middle class lost interest, voted as the TV told them, did not pay attention to what those they elected were doing, and here we are, domestic tranquillity can no longer be maintained by providing bread and circuses to the masses, on borrowed money.

The Great Society is about to collapse; you cannot have close to 50% of the population dependent on the rest.

A critical mass is being approached.

As for lost rights; we have lost none that cannot be found by searching the Constitution.

A great start would be repeal of the 14th Amendment, and a redefinition of what constitutes citizenship.

If we haven't lost any rights, how do you explain the information given in the post? Can you dispute the claims of the root article? Have anything that says differently? Just curious.

All of that is within the power of the people to correct, if they wake up and elect people to office that serve the people, not the system and their bank accounts.

We get what we deserve.

"We the People" better wake up; we have done it to ourselves, and can fix it ourselves.

Yes, I totally agree that the voters have destroyed this once great nation. It's been going on for 50 plus years. But, are you saying that we haven't lost any rights?

We have misplaced some.

They are still in the Constitution.

We have not lost any rights, wow that's the ,most ignorant, and uninformed comment I've ever heard. If you say anything against the prez or anybody in his circle, you chance having your facebook, or any other social media sites posts erased, and your kicked off the site, it happened to me.
