The ones who held the position and were proficient.
How could the replacement refs compare?
They never did that job because the regular refs held those positions.

Football fans - even lefty ones - know the difference between competent experienced officials vs. their complete opposite whom the league brought in to substitute for them. Whether the regular crews are unionized or not has absolutely nothing to do with the situation. As usual, deany is simply trying to make a mountain out of a molehill.
