It's really not about right or left to me. I think both parties are kind of full of shit on issues.
I think both have sold out to big corporations to a degree.
But Rasmussen has his audience. He was the only guy who said Bush was still popular after Katrina... at least for a while. His samples always skew to the right.
On the larger issue, if we don't get the middle class back, and soon, we are going to get more government dependency from the country.
You mentioned before that the left has an aversion to private charity. You probably have a point there. But the thing about it is, if you give a man a choice between voting to make you give him something and having him beg for something, he'll vote to just take. Every time.
Let him work for something, he has some skin in the game. His pile of money might not be as big. But it's his. Take that away from him, he might start looking covetously at someone else's.
This is how the Republicans are really making the Democrats job easier.
