Ride the choo choo they said

Money well spent and a bargain at twice the cost.

When compared to the 550 billion we wasted on the war in Iraq. Or the 50 billion the navy recently wasted on building two small ships that break down everytime they leave port.
50 billion on 2 small ships? do tell......a bargain waste........might that not be why CA is broke

The navy wasted 50 bil on two small ships. Not Ca.

Which two ships? Provide a link to that claim please. As far as the "bullet train", which is a farce as it will be travelling on standard rail so limited in it's overall speed. It is following the route of State Hwy 99 which is STUPID! That adds to the cost because of all the valuable farmland that has to be bought for right of way, and the area has the most traffic in the central valley. Had they actually followed the I-5 route they would have lowered the cost and it would be much faster.

They want to start it in Palmdale. Which is 75 miles away from LA. So you have to drive to Palmdale, then board the train, then get off in San Fran, maybe. Currently the plan only go's so far as Gilroy which is 80 miles from San Fran. In other words it is a farce. A complete waste of money that will do nothing but line the pockets of the politicians who are pushing this fraudulent project on the taxpayers of california.

Don't worry.....had hilary won that same kind of planning and thought would have gone into the single payer healthcare system....

And it is the system that works in every other developed nation on earth...Instead we get your private sector shit that has proven to fail and rise prices at a faster rate then even OBAMACARE. Your thoughts are a joke.

What is more funny is single payer would cost half or less as much as the shit we have now...But, lets not because we hate government so fucking much that we can't put our own national self interest at heart.

And wherever it is it works great if you're rich cause you can fly to the USA to have your surgery instead of waiting till you die. The reality matt is that single payer systems like the NHS in the UK, and the Canadian system is great...until you get really sick. Your problem is you only read their propaganda. I suggest you actually read their real results. The NHS is a shambles.

Only a bunch of complete idiots could possibly be 3.6 billion over budget
the Big Dig in Boston was supposed to cost 2.5 billion and ended up costing almost 14 billion
so I guess there are plenty of idiots out there and it all starts with the politicans

A bit pricy for sure, performs as advertised.

But no where near as pricy & non functional brought to you courtesy of congress and a bunch of goofballs posing as top brass in the military.

After wasting 37 billion dollars; that was three years ago. They've since wasted billions more

The Littoral Combat Ship was supposed to anchor the Navy of the future. Instead, a report obtained by Bloomberg News reveals a program plagued by problems, high costs, and an inability to meet even simple docking requirements.

the graft in Boston is the stuff of legend
there should be about 500 people in jail for defrauding the government

Stick to the topic ....If you want to address the waste of the little crappy ship I have a thread on that .......And Trump seems to have his eye on defense waste and what are libs doing......Whining ........

No, it's well documented. Single payer is great so long as you're healthy. Canadians come to the US in droves to have life saving surgeries done, on their own dime, because if they wait in line, they die. Cancer is a disease that if caught early and then dealt with early has a much higher survival rate.

A canadian friend of mine has a buddy who's wife developed breast cancer. It was early and they were placed on a waiting list for an operation. Eight months in the future. Fortunately they checked and found that if they had waited, due to the aggressive type of cancer she had, she would have gone from Stage One to Stage Four and her likelihood of survival would plummet.

They sold their house and came here to the US to save her life. That is the reality of single payer.

Even their politicians come here for their operations. So, you have to ask yourself, if a Canadian politician felt it necessary to go through all of the trouble, and harassment, to seek medical care in the US, then their own system probably isn't that good.

Talking points from the Right ... nothing new.
Canadians love their single payer plan.

We'll get single payer eventually.

Medicare is already up and running on a large scale so that should be the obvious choice.
