How is it that Congress men and women can all get together and agree on how to SPEND our money, but they CANNOT get to gether and agree on how NOT to spend our money?

The "super committee" wasn't ever meant to succeed....It's a campaign prop.

Not talking solely about the 'supre committee'......I'm talking about CONGRESS! All of them. Together.

Think about the question I asked. Think about it! Seriously!

no matter what your party...you offer free stuff, you get votes.
You threaten to rake away the free stuff, you lose votes.

I've thought about it...The answer really isn't that difficult.

There aren't any votes to be bought in cutting back on spending.

But they manage to agree on what the free stuff should be. How? They manage to AGREE to SPEND our money. But then can't agree now NOT to spend our money.

Yup and both parties are buying votes by not repealing as well, meaning they spend more of A,B,C but never repeal E,F,G that they ran their campaign off of to win.

We are at a point where taxing the rich won’t even put a dent in the yearly deficit but that’s all Dems offer.
We are at a point where not allowing Obamacare to go into full effect won’t put a dent in the growing deficit, yet that is all most Republicans offer.

If you actually talk about real cuts across the board both parties come together to destroy you, DNC/GOP, MSNBC/FOX news won’t have any of it. That is why Ron Paul struggles, the standard would be set too high.

Well. Some seem to be on to them. So how do they keep it up?

There is a reason the nation is split by Dem/Rep... Because they both fail so horribly when they are in power.

Some will always vote one way or the other. Some will switch hit. It is those in the middle who switch hit who are running this mess.

Some, not all. Many times if not near every time I talk to full on lifelong Democrat and I mention Ron Paul they almost immediately say they would vote for him over Obama yet they hate ever other Person with passion on the Republican stage. I ask why and usually they say "Because I believe what he says." What a weird fucking answer... They like the polar opposite of their ideology and try to find common ground simply because they "feel" that they can trust him, how sad is that?

Than if there were no "free shit" it would be on merit?

Too many of them think our national budget is exactly the same as a household budget only bigger, this misconception has led to all of the budget battles we have had in the last few years.

Its easy to give other peoples money away. Its really hard when you have to live withing your means.

The MAJORITY decides how to spend the money.
The MINORITY tries to figure out ways to block it.
(regardless of which party is which)

It’s not the spending of money per se, but what the money is spent on. It’s a failure to plan, prioritize, and allocate wisely and efficiently.

Too many of them think our national budget is exactly the same as a household budget only bigger, this misconception has led to all of the budget battles we have had in the last few years.

Correct.

Correct.

Maybe so. But you have to admit that everyone, them included, is a LOT happier when they are spending.
