Rick Perry takes a commanding lead in the polls less than 3 days after announcing

I find it interesting people want to put so much stock in media polls and ignore an actual voter poll. It is too early and we don't know enough about any of them yet.

Agreed--this is no time to make any decisions on any candidate. It's best to watch these debates until they're FINISHED and then make a decision. And once you do--DONATE to your candidate of choice. Even a couple of bucks helps out.

I think this is a good start for Perry, and right now, even though he's a lot further to the right than I am, he's the guy I'd support because he looks like he's ready to kick ass and take names...

But just to take a step back, my initial support in 2008 was for Fred Thompson. Unfortunately, Fred only sounded dynamic and leader-like because Dick Wolf wrote snappy dialog for him.

We'll see.

I don't think your position is uncommon at all amongst righties. Right now it is a contest for Republican candidates to see who is the maddest about everything and hates Obama the most. Which is also not uncommon to presidential races. Look at how the Democrats were promoting phony outrage and hatred over everything Bush did after we invaded Iraq.

What really gets me is........how can Americans have such a short memory?....every four years the party that doesn't have the presidency promotes fear of destruction, accusations of corruption, or calls the incumbent a nazi, socialist, warmonger, communist, chicken-hawk...or whatever. And every time...Americans who want their team to win believe the nonsense?????.....wtf!

But the thing is, we should be mad. Things have gotten markably worse for everyone in the last three years.

Yes, you have the red meat stuff, and I try to stay away from it. I wouldn't touch the birther nonsense with a 10 foot poll, and when I see an attack on Obama that is blatantly unfair, like "He voted Present", I call people on it.

But he has been an awful president.
