No raisins...

This is a good recipe, just made it for the boy and myself...

Creamy Rice Pudding Recipe

I beat the egg and mixed in the 1/2 cup of milk into it, and before adding it to the hot mixture dropped a tsp of the hot mixture into the egg/milk mixture to keep it from curdling/cooking the egg...it worked.

It was creamy and delish.

I ignored the instructions for the rice..I don't make rice like that. I measure rice and water and cook it together, I don't add rice to boiling water.

Loooove rice pudding because I like kheer.

Sprinkle some cardamom on it. And maybe a dash of star anise if you have it.
Thank me later.

I like Bread Pudding better

Rice Pudding

What is the matter with Mary Jane?
She's crying with all her might and main,
And she won't eat her dinner - rice pudding again -
What is the matter with Mary Jane?

What is the matter with Mary Jane?
I've promised her dolls and a daisy-chain,
And a book about animals - all in vain -
What is the matter with Mary Jane?

What is the matter with Mary Jane?
She's perfectly well, and she hasn't a pain;
But, look at her, now she's beginning again! -
What is the matter with Mary Jane?

What is the matter with Mary Jane?
I've promised her sweets and a ride in the train,
And I've begged her to stop for a bit and explain -
What is the matter with Mary Jane?

What is the matter with Mary Jane?
She's perfectly well and she hasn't a pain,
And it's lovely rice pudding for dinner again!

Yeah, I like it better without raisins, though I do like raisins.

Raisins must die. :death:

So I'll give you my secret. For your eyes only, don't tell nobody.

Raspberries. Second choice peach. Then pineapple and/or strawberry.

Take my advice, I have ridiculous amounts of experience in rice pudding.

There's more but I'm keeping that. I've said too much already. :eusa_silenced:

We never had this conversation. I was never here and I don't know what you're talking about.

It was pretty sweet without the raisins...I would have put raisins in, but I don't have any.

My auntie Toots used to make huge vats of the stuff for family get togethers..she didn't put raisins in hers. It was amazingly delish...I think probably she used cream instead of milk. She always had a milk cow and I remember her rice pudding being even creamier than the stuff I made today..which was amazingly creamy.
