They are!
They are!
But in a couple of Rhode Island communities they may not see it quite that way.
They're doing their part to slow global warming by doing without natural gas.
It's unusually cold in Little Rhody just now but consider the greater good!

Of course it wasn't by choice:

National Grid: Customers in Newport, Middletown face a week or more without natural gas - News - The Herald News, Fall River, MA - Fall River, MA

NEWPORT, R.I. -- It could take a week or longer to restore service to the 7,100 National Grid customers in Newport and Middletown who lost service Monday, National Grid said.

National Grid President Tim Horan said during a Tuesday press conference that, if the company had not acted immediately Monday, there was the potential for an explosion.

National Grid cut shut down service “out of an abundance of caution” Monday in single-digit temperatures.

Shelters have opened and National Grid will also be reserving a block of rooms at various hotels. Details were not immediately available on which ones.

Now technicians must visit each affected house or business and shut down service there. National Grid said that about 322 technicians are canvassing the neighborhoods now and 75 more will be deployed shortly. National Grid also said that if they can’t reach residents, they will, accompanied by a police officer, force entry into the house, make every effort to contact residents first.

It will take two to three days to turn off service then another two or three days to restore it, National Grid estimated.

National Grid said the problem was first identified around 8 a.m. Tuesday. Customers notified about not having gas. Gas supplier Algonquin Gas Transmission Co. also noticed that gas pressure was running low.
