Anyone surprised by their spin?

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces in Iraq (news - web sites) faced new strains with allies on Monday when Bulgaria said they had probably shot dead one of its soldiers after angering Rome by killing an Italian secret agent who rescued a hostage.

The shootings confirmed what for many Iraqis is a daily reality -- that U.S. forces are too quick to open fire and often kill innocent civilians in their efforts to crack down on insurgents, who killed at least 23 people in fresh attacks...

Its beginning to look like a losing situation for the US. Maybe the enemy is not the insurgents but the unpopular press worldwide the US is about to receive.

Why does everyone in the press assume that the U.S. made a mistake? Isn't it the job of the press to question these things and supposedly investigate before jumping the gun. It will go down in history as our fault, sadly.

You know, i get the feeling that if a reporter woke up one day in Iraq and the person serving them breakfeast got the order wrong they would find some way to spin it into we are losing in Iraq.

I seriously have to ask, how does anyone with such a give up, pessimistic, mentality end up succeeding with anything in life?

If the press only did their job the way they're supposed to, but most know that the world, and most of the U.S. press have an axe to grind with, U.S. values, freedom, liberty, etc.

Probably an innate jealousy towards the U.S..

The press for the most part is a nation/government unto itself..........and it definitely has a purpose/agenda.
