Rest in Peace

"When you know you're not going to make it, a wonderful thing happens: You stop being cluttered by the feeling that you're going to save your butt."

I was just the other day reading Aristotle's The Nicomachean Ethics. And reading this obit something jumped out at me from my recent memory. Aristotle is describing how he has plotted out in a diagram the elements supporting his doctrine of the Mean (Book 2- Goodness)

"In the field of Fear and Confidence the mean is Courage;"

I think I can use that quote.

No, not Aristotle's, the one from Col. Ripley.

It truly describes courage.

Rest in peace Colonel Ripley.
