Response time to the Oil disaster!

gotcha tea baggers ashamed of no college usually pull out the socialist card. Your dad should have pulled out.

You got nothing there special ed. You are the one who is ashamed to mention your education. Quid pro quo here mommies little retard. Like it matters anyhow many of my fellow alumni cant even hold down a minimum wage job. They cost society & employers far more than they would benefit them.

I stated early on I have an MBA you moron. Most of the college grads I know are rich, it's not like it's hard to do. lol

Nowhere in this thread did you state you had an MBA. This just proves that you are indeed a retard. You are not even competent enough to get a G.E.D. much less pass a college level 101 level exam. So put down mommies keyboard & back away from her computer little confused retard. This is a grown-ups discussion forum. The Sponge Bob forum is located here.

I see this guided towards Obama and the scrutiny of everything he does. 20 billion dollars aside, I have a question for you all....

How long did it take Bush 1 to respond to the exxon Valdez disaster? Did he ever even address it let alone get the victims money?

Seriously, right leaning people, can anyone one of you answer me this, did he do ANYTHING about the Valdez?
Yes, I know that was a while ago, but I am just reminded time and time again how bad Obama handled this, but Bush 1 did nothing.

Valdez = Bush 1 = He did nothing and no scrutiny from any right wingers.
Gulf = Obama = 20 billion dollars for victims and scrutiny on EVERY aspect of everything he does.

Why the difference? I know he said he would continue deep drilling after the valdez, but that is just one of the problems we are dealing with now. :eusa_whistle:

Stay on point please. This thread is about response time from Bush 1 and why there was NO back lash for it. I found ONE thing he said after the Valdez and all he said was he will continue drilling and looking for energy. Never about the Valdez directly really.

STAY ON POINT PLEASE.

you are right.... bush sucked so it is ok that obama sucked...so much for raising the bar....well off to the golf course....

I think the major question is that 0bama has decided to take charge, and then has failed all along. All he has accomplished is a shake down, which is all he has ever done in his career is do shake downs.

The clean up happened, and there was no issue of federal ineptitude to address. (The question of allowing a drunk to run a supertanker was mostly an issue of dealing with the American with Disabilities Act problem at the time. We no longer regard Alcoholism as ADA protected like we did then) The reality is when things are done right, no one asks questions as to why or how. When things go wrong, fingers point everywhere. No one asks what Bush 41 did, because the things in his purview at the time happened the way they were supposed to. With Bush 43 and Katrina, there the perception that the administration was way disconnected and more interested in party hearty than appropriate preparation and response. Saying it was a local matter is not really a good answer. Mississippi did it right, and there was no problem. LA did it wrong, and it became Bush's problem.

With 0bama there is the question of deliberate ineptitude. Some of us feel that he is managing the crisis for its benefit to him personally and to his agenda, rather than fixing it.

Regardless of who the president is at the time of a disaster, the wheels of government move slowly. It is unavoidable. We demand that the government have safeguards against fraud and abuse. To do so, means red tape. Forms to be filled out, someone has to check to make sure the claim is valid. We could just hand out checks to anyone who says they need money. Since it's BP money, I suspect we will lean toward the later method.

Since the president can't be blamed for most national disasters, we blame him for the poor response time. It just goes with the job.

I still fail to see the validity of the complaint that Obama failed to respond.

What EXACTLY did he fail to do?

None of you has yet told us what steps he might have taken that he failed to do.

Why?

Because you're blowing partisan smoke, that's why.

I heard......during all this time, he actually ate breakfast one morning. !!!!!!

He should have been on those beaches or at the very least under water trying to plug that thing. :cuckoo:

The only point I see is; because "Bush I" did nothing about Valdez, it is OK that BO is doing too, little too late with this problem?

.

The point of this was to point out to you how much scrutiny you guys are giving Obama but yet, when your president (a republican) you gave no scrutiny whatsoever, which makes you a hypocrite.

go back and read critisism of Bush/Katrina moron

You think Bush did good with Katrina? The critism he recieved was well deserved!

And yes, i feel as though Obama "kicked ass" with this oil disaster.

That is the difference.
