The news business in the US is in a sorry state these days. There used to be laws in place that used to hold news organizations accountable but those laws were abolished in 90s I think. After that, major news organizations have turned the news business into propaganda business. This has left people on both sides of the political spectrum quite confused. It is not just right wing alternative news sources that are on the rise, there are left wing alternative news sources on the rise as well. The Young Turk is a very good example of a left wing alternative news source. They had quite a few interesting and revealing segments on Hillary's financial dealings that were never given much attention by the major news organizations. Here (on the topic of Hillary), I noticed a very interesting convergence between left and right alternative news sources.
