Republicans Who Desire Success for The Obama Administration: Seriously?

So if he succeedes and you already said there are many of his policies you don't like wouldn't that suggest that his policies will make America fail?

Only if I know everything... which, sadly, I must admit I do not.

But even so, even if all the policies I, myself, would have implemented were to be implemented and would prove to be a thousand times more successful than the President's, that does not preclude his success from keeping this country successful.

On the other hand, his failure may very well destroy this country.

I hardly think you care to see that happen any more than I do.

Immie

ok let's do it this way. What policies does he have that you would say was good for America?

Can I request six weeks to research the answer to that question?

But, even so, I'm not always rite...

Note: I misspelled that because the other day, I told Anguille I was never wrong. By misspelling it, I can still maintain deniability. :D

Sure but lets shorten the list can you name three of his policies you agree with?

Can you explain how this massive debt he is accumulating can be good for the country? How does this keep the country successful?

Even, if I think the massive debt is a tragedy, and I do, my hope is that the President does not fail. Hoping he fails is the same as hoping the country fails.

Just because I disagree with him and his foolish policies does not mean I hope for his failure.

Now, I can hope that he fails to institute certain, or even all, of his policies, but I do not and will not hope or pray that he fails as a President.

Shorten the list! Hell, I was stretching to come up with one in the six weeks and NOW YOU WANT ME TO NAME THREE! What the hell are you some kind of a Sadist!

If obama fail's getting his agenda passed and approved by the people would that mean America did not fail?

No, not true. If Obama fails, we all fail. This nation fails! If you think his out of control spending is bad news and he passes it and he fails, then this country fails. Since I see no way to stop him, the only thing I can pray for is that even though I don't like what I see, he succeeds one way or another.

Immie

What makes you think his desire is to destroy the nation?

Because you have to destroy it before you can "fundamentally change it."

I don't remember Obama ever saying he wanted to "fundamentally change" the nation. I remember him saying he wanted to "fundamentally change" the way Washington did business - which would be neither bad or destructive.

It would be interesting to go back and read each time he used the word "change" to see the context he used it with. I would beg to differ with you that it was always within the context of business in Washington.

I could easily hear him say "We need Hope and Change for America for the better"... it sounds good and innocent, doesn't it?

When he used the term "New World Order," it never sounded comforting to me..it sounded threatening. Just another example.

Do you have any links to him using "New World Order"? I don't recall him doing so, but I do recall people claiming Bush was seeking a "New World Order.

We would have to know exactly what Obama deems a "success" before we would want him to achieve his goals. Is it socialism, as some have thought? A New World Order, as he has even said that no one really understands? Is it the values most Americans hold dear?

Each individual must make their own determination about this..not just Republicans, but everyone.

Why did he apologize for America? Why didn't he wear a flag pin until it became such a controversy? What about the BC he won't reveal? Why has he disappointed strong allies? Why he profess to be the most transparent president and then refused so many sunshine records, FOIA documents, WH logs, etc?

Just things to think about. Everything is relative..even success.

I know he has used it a couple of times. I'll look to see what I can find.

Until the Obama administration stops attempting to impliment policies that will destroy this nation, i will continue to wish them to not succeed at implimenting those policies. Why would I want anyone to succeed at destroying my country?

What makes you think his desire is to destroy the nation?

Doesn't matter his personal desires. He could have all the good intentions in the world and the policies he is advocating would still hurt our nation. So why would I want him to succeed at implimenting policies that will destroy our nation, even if he has the best intentions while implimenting them?

I want to see my nation prosper. I want to see the Republic restored. I want to see corruption ended. Why would I support policies that do the opposite or want them to succeed?

Considering how any idea from any source gets skewed or destroyed in the meat-grinder we call congress, I don't know if I could name a policy with his name on it. He even failed in effectively selling the idea of closing Guantanamo. The law referred to as "Obama-care" may have his signature, but it belongs to congress and the lobbyists. Same thing with the Wall Street wet dream called 'Banking Reform'.

I can look it up as well. :D

My reason for asking was more to bring up that I don't recall him using that term, but I do remember the accusations against Bush.

In fact, here is one video that I did find which seems to back up your statement, but if you listen to it, he never says "New World Order".

Again, nothing about a New World Order but you can't tell that by the title.

OH no if obama did not like what he signed why did he sign it in the first place. If his name is on it then it's his.

If I could predict the future with that much assurance of the outcome I'd be sitting in a cafe in South Beach every day sipping on a margarita while I watch my Scottrade account. How can you possibly be so certain that imposing the same tax rates on the wealthy as they paid during the Regan Administration would "destroy" our nation?

That seems a bit melodramatic to me.

Like I said... when it comes to leadership he's a big ol' pussy. He does a poor job of picking which battles to fight and when he proposes reasonable ideas he caves at the first counter offers. He's weak.

Name the policies that if he failed would also make America fail? That one is easy. The Stimulus Plan and Health Care Reform are two of those.

Look, you can pray for Obama's failure and thus America's failure if you want, I absolutely refuse to do so. If Obama's failure is important enough to you to risk the failure of this nation just so you can feel vindicated then that really saddens me. Our future depends on a miracle here and it seems to me that you are literally praying for a catastrophe.

I refuse to pray for that. Instead, I will pray that through some kind of a miracle, Obama's Presidency will end up a success as will this nation and that by that we will survive yet another President and move on to hopefully a better future.

Please just think about what you are saying.
