Republicans want to raise taxes on the poor, cut them for the rich

Romney

Not shitting you.

The Tax Policy Center took a close look at Republican nominee Mitt Romney's proposed tax and economic plan and concluded that it would cut taxes for the richest Americans and actually raise them on the poor.

How do you raise taxes on those who don't pay taxes? not only that how do you tax those who live for free off taxes?

Do you have an explanation for that??

The Tax Policy Center does

I've been saying this for months.

Romney's big problem is going to be, how can he deny this and still claim he's going to balance the budget with his tax plan;

a big tax cut plus military spending increases will add to the deficit.

Exactly. Willard wants to take W's epically failed policies and make them even worse. Those with sanity know it's a proven recipe for complete disaster, but the right wing thugs don't care. They seem to think trashing the economy and skyrocketing the debt is a good thing,...

The upper 2 per cent of wage earners already pay over 60 per cent of the taxes. The poor pay nothing. Nothing!

Not even true.

Yeah that isn't true but in terms of income taxes the Bottom 50 percent do only pay 2.25 percent of taxes. I'd rather more people made more money and everyone paid a flat tax rate.

Ever taken a look at how regressive state taxes are? If the rich pay the bulk of federal taxes, the poor and middle more than make up the difference at the state level.

You do realize that President Barry Kardashian has added more debt in three years then Bush's eight and that the unemployment has remained high through his entire term, and that he gave us the first credit downgrade and has further devalued the U.S. $?

Of course you do, but that's just different and it is all Bush's fault.

Except for the poverty level poor everyone should contribute. The wealthy have foot the bill for entirely too long. When will the bottom 50% pay their fair share?
When there is only a consumption tax.

Your mistake is thinking that the top 1% want the bottom 50% to pay anything. You can't be too big to fail if the majority of the government money doesn't come from you.

Except for the poor who are poor? LOL!

The poor do contribute. They provide cheap labor.

So you want to raise taxes on the middle class.

What is middle class to you?

What's greed?
What's Rich?
What's Poor?
What's torture?
What's racist?

Republicans always act as if they dont know the meaning of words. Open a book and stop looking for get individuals definitions so you can criticize them personally?
Well lets anser those Closed

What's Rich?Relative term.....so it would be the people in a society with the most money.....I say people who dont have to worry about a thing at all financially.....People who can buy a ferrari, people who can buy things without worrying about paying for it, because they know it's there...People who have to worry about bills are middle class

What's Poor? People that have very little. So people with cars, computers, internet, nice shoes, and healthy or fat are not poor

What's torture? Pulling fingernails and chinese water torture, not waterboarding of putting chicking leg on a muslim....

What's racist? Hating people because they are black, NOT saying ******, NOT making jokes, NOT telling the truth about the inner cities

So what are yours?

I give a shit what YOUR PERSONAL definitions are because this isnt about YOU personally. You want to make this about attacking individuals because the independent Tax Policy Center has shit all over Romney's plan. The same Tax Policy Center Romney cited as a Independent group when he could use them as a stick to beat Perry. Now Romney...with no surprise...changes his mind and now calls them liberal.

Politics of Personal destruction...no thanks buddy

If this is true consensus on the right, then the Republican party should be honest about it and run on that principle:

The Rich are overtaxed, and the Not-Rich are undertaxed.
I don't speak for the right. I speak for me. Having said that no politician left or right is ever publicly honest about such things.

W and the GOP shitheads took us from the biggest surplus in US history to the biggest deficit. It takes a real idiot to pull that one off, and those idiots are the GOP

Also the teabaggers caused the credit to be downgraded because they refused to cut a dime from their insane spending to the rich.

The GOP doesn't give a damn about the deficit or anything else but to make sure the rich and their corporate masters are taken care of.

Since taxing the few 1% at a higher rate would produce minimal revenues the burden would fall on the middle class to support every utopian, fair, social "justice" program progressives can invent........

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz5YRqjjNrU]Stephanie Cutter: Mitt Romney's Middle Class Tax Increase - YouTube[/ame]

According to independent tax experts, Mitt Romney's $5 trillion tax plan would force an average $2,000 tax hike on middle-class families with children in order to pay for his budget-busting tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

President Obama has a different approach. He has a plan that extends middle class tax cuts, and asks the wealthy to pay a little more. It's part of a balanced plan to cut more than $4 trillion from the deficit.

Romney says he'll pay for tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires by closing tax deductions and other tax benefits. But he's not talking about loopholes like the ones that benefit the wealthiest Americans, like himself. He's talking about taxing the health insurance people get from their employers, and eliminating the deduction that helps families pay off their mortgage.

Who is fighting for the middle class? President Obama versus Mitt Romney. — Barack Obama

Can Congress get out of the economy's way? - Aug. 2, 2012

R's try to pass "protect the millionaires!' - D's block. D's try to pass Obama's bill (extend for lower/middle class, kill for millionaires and billionaires - R's block.

Yup. We're screwed.

Before we got the euphemism of water boarding the procedure was known as the Chinese Water Torture.

Somehow the Bush administration thought water boarding sounded more............pleasant.
