Republicans voted to cut funding for embassy protection.

Lamb clarified for Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.), who was invited to sit on the committee for the hearing, that the staffing denial was not linked to budget shortages, just the result of evaluating conditions on the ground.

Part of which is available funding..

Link to the testimony under OATH where ANYONE says, "Part of which is available funding, which caused the attacks on our Embassy."

We'll all wait LIAR.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.): "Mrs Lamb, you made this decision personally, was there any budget consideration, or lack of budget, that allowed you not to increase the people in the security force there"

Response: "No Sir."

Just suppose it's true. There was no funding for the Libyan diplomatic corps. It is dangerous, the personnel asks for help. The 11th anniversary of 911 is coming up and you know that an attack is planned on that date. There is no money for enhanced security. What does a leader do?

They get their people OUT of there. If the British could do it, why not obama. Britian took their people out in June! There is no amount of cover up, misdirection or obfuscation that can change the facts.

Instead, obama takes that attack and tries to use it to bash America and apologize for our First Amendment.

Is it your opinion that the US should have quit Libya?

Where else should we be withdrawing our embassies from?

Didn't know you were an isolationist.

Britian isn't isolationist but recognized the danger and got their people out of there. I don't believe in human sacrifice for political principles. If the area is unsafe you don't hang around. You tell Libya that you are leaving and if they cannot provide adequate security you won't give them any more money. No one in their right minds would justify such an attack by apologizing for our basic values. Which must mean that obama isn't in his right mind.

This attack happened because admitting the danger and taking action would have interfered with the white house narrative. Al Quaeda is decimated, it's back on its heels. The Taliban is no longer a threat. That's what obamalama intended we believe. It just isn't true.

And the result is dead Americans.

Catch up.

How many embassies can we secure with the money we spend on big bird? doyathink? and btw... more democrats voted to cut funding for the embassies than did Republicans so your ass fails again.

This makes absolutely no sense.

The Republicans control the house. They are in the majority.

WillowTree is right.
More Dem's did vote for it.
Dem's 149 - Repubs 147

That embassy should have been shut down for safety reasons, just like the British and the Red Cross did in May of this year.

It doesn't matter. Budgeting was not an issue.

Ah. The "Let's blame Republicans for our screw ups" tactic.

You guys are getting way too predictable. Face it. Obama screwed up. And you know, it wouldn't be so bad except he has spent the last month lying to the American people and trying to cover it up. Not only that, he tried to attack Romney for it saying He jumped the gun and yet Romney was right and the President still hasn't admitted the truth to the American people.

You reap what you sow. Republicans do too.

It's going to be so good to be under a new administration.

They cut the funding.

So yeah.

Lets blame the fucks.

From what budget?...... :eusa_whistle:

THE FUNDING HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DECISION TO DECREASE SECURITY AND REJECT REQUESTS FOR SECURITY.

Lamb admitted that. Time to just put this stupid meme to rest.

It just doesn't get any more insane then this..

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has scheduled a fairly high-profile hearing today on security lapses at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya. There's one nagging problem, however, that might cause Republicans some trouble.

For example, Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), a member of Issa's committee, told Soledad O'Brien this morning that he expects to hear testimony about security that "didn't meet the basic, minimum standards required for a facility such as the one we had in Benghazi." Chaffetz added that policymakers have to "make sure it doesn't happen in other places around the world."

Asked if he'd voted to cut federal funding for security at U.S. embassies and consulates, Chaffetz responded, "Absolutely. Look we have to make priorities and choices in this country.... When you're in tough economic times, you have to make difficult choices. You have to prioritize things."The GOP's embassy security problem - The Maddow Blog

Seriously?

No, it's a Rachel Maddow Blog. It's bull shit.
