Republicans Surging Back

Let us assume that there is a seachange in power from the Ds to the Rs in the 2010 election.

What exactly do we expect to see the Rs do about health care, and the economy?

I think we all know what they won't do (whatever you guys have been complaining about) so you don't need to tell us that.

What they will do, however, IS the question.

Nothing about the economy and health care?

Is "Let it bleed" the solution you folks think the Rs will take?

Is that the solution?

As of now, in the race for governor in both New Jersey and Virginia, the Republican candidates are dominating.

Do you believe ALL of the lies you tell? Creigh Deeds (D) is leading Bob McDonell (R) in VA.

The question is, do you believe all the lies you tell?!?

Still waiting on you to source your claims that Deeds is leading McDonnel.

Actually, as of now, the VA governor's race is at a dead heat, but then again, McCain was ahead of Obama at times, too... 365 electoral votes later, that was pretty goofy, eh?

Also, as far as VA is concerned,

Since 1976, the party that has won the White House has lost the Virginia governor's race the next year.

Interesting. But I'm still waiting on VaginaYank to support her claim.

Unless of course you and VaginaYank are one and the same, in that case you failed to support the claim that deeds was leading.

That's the solution that Rs have taken since Clinton tried it in the 90s. The problem with the stimulus from February 09 was that it wasn't enough to be truly effective and now they had to ask for more money to continue.

Healthcare is a part of making the economy stronger, the administration needs to communicate that better, above the Repbulcian noise and obstruction.

We need a strong economy, healthcare and jobs will help make that happen. It is going to take money to improve any of the three. The let it bleed solution hasn't worked and will not work.

I was addressing YOUR post, not VAYank's. It seems pretty clear that the VA race is neck and neck now. My point spoke for itself. And I simply reminded you that there's a long way to go. McCain thought he was going to win, too. *shrug*

So like I said, it'sr really not meaningful of anything right now and while I don't know why Va wouldn't elect the dem since he seems a far superior candidate, it would be in keeping with VA's history since the '70's.

Fair enough.

My reason for requesting a source is the fact that she implied someone was lying, when the facts clearly didn't support her claim that Deeds was leading.

I have heard similar confessions from those like you professing to never have voted Democrat before "until Obama" - but if they disliked the inherent liberalism of the Democrats before - what in God's name did Obama offer that was nothing if not MORE of that same distasteful liberalism?

The answer is nothing - except the color of his skin of course...

I recommend you back off on your racist remarks with me, sir. You are out of line as you do not know me in the least. However, to answer your question, what I saw in Obama was a chance to STOP spending my tax dollars to bomb the shit out of other countries, only to spend more of my tax dollars to help them rebuild what we blew up. Obama wanted to focus our spending efforts on the US for a change, and I like that.

Hey dumbass...rather than beating up on me and my inane post, why don't you simply follow the thread chain and see where I admitted my mistake and apologized to the original poster?

It's a good thing you are a message board poster and not in government.....Government run healthcare hasn't got a goddam thing to do with the economy's strength...I cite the fraud ridden Medicare/Medicaid system as an example of the abject failure of government run entitlement programs...now you clowns want to expand these programs 20 fold and create a whole new bureaucracy in government that will hire an additional 500,000 people?

Yeah...that's being really fiscally responsible.....

What racist remarks are those? I don't see any racist remarks in this post.

Well VaginaYank, I think you owe me an apology for not addressing my request in a timely manner. Do all you fuckwads in Vaginaland typically avoid answering direct request? In Texas we call those types of people cowards, now are you a coward Nancy?

Stupid fuck thinks mentioning the fact that Obama is a negro is racist!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA rofl:

Funny isn't it?

That's their whole defense for his ineptitude...and Chapter 1 in the DNC playbook.
"Anyone who challenges Obama is a racist and should be immediately attacked and smeared as such. Then associate them with Hitler."

Republicans don't have a prayer. Their strategy of voting NO on everything and hoping for an economic collapse is backfiring. The economy is showing signs of reversing. By 2010 elections, the economy will be recovering, healthcare will be passed and troops will be pulling out of Iraq.

Well sure kids...

Understand the reasoning this moron is offering: "Voting "NO" is counter-productive... people just don't react well to negatives..."

So here's a sample Ballot... We'll use this to test for viability of "Yes" votes...

#1 "A Bill which requires all men over the age of 21 to have their testicles set against an anvil and smashed with a 12 lb hammer..."

#2 "A Bill which requires all women to have their vagina's stiched shut'...

#3 "A Bill which requires all roadways to be open to any flow of traffic with no restriction on speed... thus there is no left lane or right lane, no right or wrong 'way' and no speeding tickets!"

Now for me... I'm a "NO" guy on all of those possibilities... Not interested in compromise; can't really see any reason to consider half measures; and I'm just not interested in tolerating those who are advocating for them, for any reason, or at any level.

Which is the same with ALL Leftist (anti-American) policy... as such is detrimental to the culture, with absolutely NO possible upside or chance of such policy ever 'succeeding.'

And with regard to a 'recovering economy...' The Economy lives upon the means of the INDIVIDUAL to manuever freely... to use their initiative to exploit opportunity... all of which is 'discouraged' by Socialist Policy...

Thus the Market/Economy will always 'recover' as it adjusts to the overiding policies which either encourage or discourage commerce...

What this idiot wants to do, is to observe this natural phnomenom and to demand that the meager survival of the economy is tantamount to a THRIVING economy... when in point of fact, the economy will survive DESPITE the Socialist Policies... as it cast its eye on the passing of such temporal set-backs; and looks to better days ahead.

Understand what this idiot is saying... 'GDP only RECEDED (SHRUNK) by ONE FULL PERCENT LAST QUARTER... that's a GAIN of five PERCENT OVER THE 6 PERCENT IT RECEDED (SHRUNK) in the quarter before THAT!'

It can't be stated enough that these are the SAME idiots that were SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER, that the 'economy is the worst on 50 years' back when unemployment was 4% and the gross domestic product was growing on average at 4-6% annually...

NOW they're celebrating a NEGATIVE GROWTH OF ONLY ONE PERCENT and unemployment of 10% which is only losing 600,000 jobs lost a month...

ROFLMNAO... They're IDIOTS... and those of them that are not idiots are LYING SUBVERSIVES!

Obama will have a miserable 2 years following the Republican dominance of Congress. Good luck turning us into a socialist state then.

Unless the new Republicans are wusses on the same scale as the ones we have now.
