Most people won't notice it because the standard deduction will cover the difference.

The rest will be OK with just the 10,0000.

The people most hurt by the limit on SALT are the well off.

The lowered rates in the brackets plus the increased standard deduction will make up for the loss of SALT deductions for most people.

Why is it that the liberals whine that there isn't enough tax revenues going into the federal government, then when those states that allow their liberal tax cheats to exempt their uber wealthy tax loopholes from the federal taxes, now the left is whining "UNFAIR"? Stupid is as stupid votes and they vote Democrat.

The Dems are spinning this as punishment for the blue states. The GOP is too stupid to spin it for what it is- VERY PROGRESSIVE.

Consider a person in NYC renting an apartment and making less than $150k per year. That person is not considered rich and they will get to keep their entire state tax bill deduction. Same with people living in California. I haven’t heard a single GOPper describe this a s progressive, a tax on the rich and well off, folks making over $150k per year.

If these blue states don't like it, they can always lower taxes.

    FACTS folks!

    A) From : Most Americans Don't Itemize on Their Tax Returns - Tax Foundation
    • 62% of New Yorkers DON"T ITEMIZE so for them taking away the deduction for SALT deductions is a non-issue.
    • 61% of Californians DON"T ITEMIZE!
    • 65% of all Americans filing Federal Tax returns ARE NOT ITEMIZED!

B)Watch: CBS News Finds Three Families Who Will Be Getting Serious Relief Thanks To Trump's Tax Cuts
Watch: CBS News Finds Three Families Who Will Be Getting Serious Relief Thanks To Trump's Tax Cuts
Jeffrey Levin, a certified CPA at Blueprint Wealth, analyzed all three families’ tax returns and found that all three, each from different backgrounds and income levels, would be receiving serious relief.

Marcie George (Cary, North Carolina) is a single mom, renter, and works as an administrative assistant. She lives paycheck-to-paycheck and thought the tax bill wouldn’t benefit her. Levine said because of the doubling of the child tax credit, she would be saving $1,300. George makes a little under $40,000 a year.

In Providence, Rhode Island, homeowners Amber and Jason Edwards earn a combined income of more than $150,000 a year. They’re not financially struggling, but worried they would pay more in taxes under Trump’s plan. Both are college educators and have no kids. They’re working to pay down their college loans. Levine said they would pay tax on $12,000 more in income, but due to the lower rates—they save around $650.

Then we go to deep-blue California, where Melissa and Layne Lev live in Fresno with their three children. They’re homeowners and started a small business together, recently opening a cycling studio. Melissa also works as a pharmaceutical sales representative. The couple’s combined income was $300,000. Levine said their itemized deductions will be lower, but no longer will be subject to the alternative minimum tax.
And the child tax credits allow the Lev family to save $13,000.

The biased CBS news really thought they were going to find big tax bill costs... but they didn't!

Christ you liberals are dumb. Look the median household income in California is $68,000 they will get a TAX CUT. Households making $100,000 tax cut. $125,000 tax cut. Break even is around $150,000. So much for your dumb ass thread you idiot.
