Republicans pull ahead of Dems as we near 2010 elections.

"PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats by 48% to 44% among registered voters in the latest update on Gallup's generic congressional ballot for the 2010 House elections, after trailing by six points in July and two points last month."

"Bottom Line

"Roughly a year before the 2010 midterm elections, Republicans seem well-positioned to win back some of their congressional losses in 2006 and 2008. Independents are increasingly coming to prefer the Republican candidate for Congress, and now favor the GOP by 22 points. Political conditions could still shift between now and Election Day to create a more favorable environment for Democratic candidates, but a Republican lead on the generic ballot among registered voters has been a sign of a strong Republican showing at the polls in the coming election."

Republicans Edge Ahead of Democrats in 2010 Vote

The poll is useless.

Tell us--where do the Conservative party stand in a three way poll? That is a better indication on how 2010 will turn out!

Expect the moderates and conservatives are going to reconcile? That is expecting Michael Steele to show real leadership!! Not going to happen!!

I agree Mike. Its way to early to predict any big winners in 2010. The polls go up. The polls go down. I do think, however, that 2010 will be decided by Independent voters not Reps or Dems. It will all depend on what the economy and unemployemnt look like and whether or not this ridiculous healthcare bs passes. Will just have to wait and see.

Marxism:

"In application, this principle means that the present organization of society must be destroyed (even through violent revolution, if necessary, because only through such destruction can a better political, economic, and social organization be achieved. To establish this new format of society, working men (the proletariat) must be organized and take up the struggle against the capitalists who defraud them. Thus the actors in this drama are the social classes -- the proletariat is arrayed against capitalism. This struggle, according to Marx and Engels, will end in victory for the proletariat, that is, in the triumph of universal Socialism."

"Religion originates in fear; in their powerlessness before nature, and later before their exploiters, men have defied these powers and petitioned them, finding in religion and otherworldly beliefs a consolation which their exploited and slavish existence could not afford them."
The Philosophy of Karl Marx

The vision statement of Trinity United Church of Christ is based upon the systematized liberation theology" Source: TUCC Website "Simply put, Liberation Theology is an attempt to interpret Scripture through the plight of the poor. It is largely a humanistic doctrine. It started in South America in the turbulent 1950's when Marxism was making great gains among the poor because of its emphasis on the redistribution of wealth, allowing poor peasants to share in the wealth of the colonial elite and thus upgrade their economic status in life."
What is Liberation Theology?

Obamism:

""You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them," Obama, an Illinois senator, said.

"And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations," he said."

If the Republicans do not pick up a few seats in 2010 they are in big trouble.

The inpatient American electorate always shows some disatisfaction with the party in office.

Obama's true success will be measured in 2012

Unless there is an unprecidented change in the electorates' ability to differentiate beween form and substance, there will be no change in the executive.

If one can speak as well as President Obama can, see the Ft. Hood speech, most folks will assume he knows what he is talking about.

Sad, but based on both human nature, and how busy most are with their own lives, that is reality.

Those who feel Obama knows what he is talking abould could be right

and you could be wrong.

And at the same time the couric interview was happening Mccain was busily yelling aobut how he and Obama should shut down their respective campaigns for a few days to go vote on the TARP proposal.

The Election was a referendum on TARP. Obama appeared to distance himself from it while McCain embraced it hence Obama won because independents who hated TARP almost as bad as most Republicans - walked away from MCcAin in droves not because of Palin but Because of TARP.

Historically vice presidential candidates don't mean squat. Occasioanlly a well chosen vp can secure a close state for you but they seldom cost you anything.

The election was decided long before TARP. McCain never had a chance. No GOP candidate had a chance. There was no way the country was electing a Republican after BOOOSH.

If this is true, I gave American voters too much credit voting for a black democrat.

But I don't believe it. It wouldn't surprise me if they gained some red states back, but they aren't winning any blue states any time soon.

So will the GOP control the House or Senate in 2010?

Neither.
