The Roy Moore “issue” (masquerading as an issue) is really about something more than just the candidate himself. It is a weapon that could grow into a monstrous beast, if Republicans allow it to.

So far, some of them appear to not be handling this too well. They seem to be playing the game of those setting up Roy Moore, and attempting to derail his campaign.

The problem is potentially huge. If Republicans don't dismiss the Moore smear job as the ridiculous hit job that it appears to be, and let it go at that then Democrats, aided by a liberal-based media, will likely return to this methodology, again and again. Republicans will be playing right into the hands of the scammers.

One can only guess how many stupid people might be swayed by a low-life smear campaign, completely devoid of any evidence. No Republican House or Senate seat or SCOTUS candidate might be safe.

Republicans (and everyone) should stand firmly by the basic American value of >> innocent, unless proven guilty. If there is any evidence at all in this Moore "issue", it is the circumstantial evidence (39 years gone by without a claim & 1 month before an election, claims), that points toward a purely bogus, hit job

Too funny. Has Hillary ever been convicted of a crime?

Even the accuser's mother has said the daughter didn't even have a telephone in her own bedroom. Also, for those who wish to be neutral on this unproven allegation:

Corfman’s mother, Wells, told Breitbart News that reporters for the Washington Post convinced her daughter to give them an interview.

“She did not go to them,” said Wells. “They called her.”

“They tried to convince her to do it?” this reporter asked.

And good thing they did, or Moore would have never faced consequences for his many rapes of young children.

Dude, it’s alread a brush fire. Let them ALL fucking burn. They deserve it.

Democrats used to get away with this stuff before the internet and information age but when you consider Al Frankin and and Hussein's buddy Harvey Weinstein as well as Hillary's husband's legacy it seems that democrats need to be careful (and if it's possible) smart.

There is evidence in this case. What you want is for the Republican Party to become like the Democrat Party. Tolerate any deviant behavior just as long as we win. Putting a pervert in office is not winning. People who claim to be value voters need to start acting like value voters. Moore and Trump are sexual harassers just as Clinton was and we should stand against it no matter whether it is a Republican or Democrat.

Where the phone was is a minor point and means nothing. It is a example of why women don't come forward. Maybe they forget 1 minor point and it becomes proof she is lying. The fact that she did not come forward actually lends more credence to her story. It is proof that she is not a political zealot.

Back when it would have mattered, Moore wasn't a politician, so coming forward now makes her look like a political zealot.

Moore could legitimately sue you for libel.

Of course. There really is no debate here. Moore is being witch hunted for the Senate seat he seeks. Obvious.

Not a smear job, and he's the only one who molested girls. It's going to be an issue for the gop. He will be elected and the Senate Ethics panel will have to investigate.

Too funny. Has Hillary ever been convicted of a crime?
Too funny. There are mounds of evidence against Clinton and the only thing Republicans are demanding is an investigation. In the case of Hillary, it is not unsubstantiated accusations from 40 years ago.
