Republicans may push debt talks to 11th hour | Reuters

The Democrats should let them do it. When they start tagging their votes with multiple social engineering issues, the Dems should hold their ground. Then when we default and the interest rate rises to heights never seen before, voters will know who caused it. The "it's not about the budget" Republicans with their slightly retared tea baggers comrads.

The Dems in the House need to pass a clean debt ceiling increase and the President needs to explain that the only thing he'll sign is a clean bill....

Then, sit back and watch the Republicans squeal and squirm when they can't get riders attached. In the end, they'll get a bare minimum number of Republicans to be intellectually honest and vote for the increase, while the rest of them can proudly say they voted to default.

Good for them!

The Republicans should push it to the brink but not over it. We can not default, but we should get as much cuts as we can out of the Spend and more spend party before we cave.

I love watching this democrat Train Wreak in progress. So many of you are under some Delusion that you are winning the PR battle on this issue. You most clearly are not. Americans do care about the Budget, and we just had one of the most sweeping Mid Term elections in our History to prove it. Keep acting like the Debt don't matter and 2012 will be the same as 2010. Sweeping Republican/Tea Party victories.

Yes, across the table from the same Republican leadership that said opposing an increase was dangerous and irresponsible:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I think the Republicans are still saying that raising the debt ceiling is dangerous and irresponsible. they ain't gonna let it happen either without some serious concessions from the dimwits.

Obama needs to stand firm on this one. He needs to use the Bully Pulpit and tell the American people the truth. That if the Republicans tag the increase with their "social agenda" then it will nto be accepted. The Republican will be the ones sending us to default. Wall Street and the world's economy will be thrown into an immediate recession, if not a depression.

THAT, is seems, is what the Republicans want.

Hey, dumbshit. The House is controlled by the GOP. They'll pass what they want.
Are the Dums really going to let the US default over Planned Parenthood? Really?

Republicans are more intellectually honest than dimwits, the dimwits are the ones lying to the American people.

The current Republican leadership used to believe that failing to raise the ceiling was irresponsible and dangerous.

But let's not be silly: When push comes to shove, they'll convince enough of their own to vote for it so it passes - just barely. And the rest will brag that they voted in support of causing America to default, causing interest rates to double overnight, causing a second deep recession etc....etc....

It will always be the dumbass dimwits fault, period!

Yes. Are the Republicans really so dead set on defunding PP that they'll sacrifice the US economy to do it?

Remember when Republicans opposed unrelated riders?

Dimwits allowing economy to default over PP is just how stupid they are. Murdering children is more important to them then the economy, idiots.

The Democrats just want a clean bill to get passed. Republicans insist on killing the economy over an unrelated issue....

Or at least, that's what they say. We both know they'll shamelessly cave when push comes to shove, then claim victory.

if you want to defund PP, here's a plan: Pass a stand-alone bill to defund PP. That's the process.

That is the only problem with the repubs I got, they don't stand up to the socialist dimwits. Other than that the repubs are always the right ones.

Then you know the Dems in the House can't pass anything, except last night's dinner. And in Barney Frank's case even that's doubtful.
So you are flat wrong, and won't admit it. Why am I shocked?
