Study PolitiFact says Republicans lie more - POLITICO.com

See the automatic reaction to this article from USMB conservatives is that PolitiFact has a liberal bias therefore the study can't be trusted.

But of course, when one reminds them that PolitiFact is responsible for calling Obama's claim about ObamaCare the "Lie of the Year", their claim about the site is nowhere to be found. Hmmm.

So which is it, Cons? Is PolitiFact full of shit? Or is it only when they make claims about republican lies that they are full of shit?

All of the TV news networks, including MSNBC, have criticized Obama. However, Fox News never gives Obama credit for ANYTHING positive.

Hmm why is that?

Update on the article from the link:
PolitiFact rates the factual accuracy of specific claims; we do not seek to measure which party tells more falsehoods.
The authors of this press release seem to have counted up a small number of our Truth-O-Meter ratings over a few months, and then drew their own conclusions.
Am I missing something (after a long day at work) or is this a Thread Fail?

This is really the only paragraph that matters in the link:

Fifty-two percent of Republican claims reviewed by the Tampa Bay Times fact-checking operation were rated "mostly false," “false” or “pants on fire,” versus just 24 percent of Democratic statements, according to George Mason University's Center for Media and Public Affairs. By the same token, 54 percent of Democratic statements were rated as "mostly true" or "true," compared to just 18 percent of Republican statements.

Let's post this again: "Fifty-two percent of Republican claims reviewed by the Tampa Bay Times fact-checking operation were rated "mostly false," “false” or “pants on fire,” versus just 24 percent of Democratic statements, according to George Mason University's Center for Media and Public Affairs. By the same token, 54 percent of Democratic statements were rated as "mostly true" or "true," compared to just 18 percent of Republican statements."

But there was an update to it put in an hour and a half AFTER the story was posted by people at Politifact. This:

The authors of this press release seem to have counted up a small number of our Truth-O-Meter ratings over a few months, and then drew their own conclusions.
The story claims Repubs lie more but it was pointed out that that wasn't the "thrust" of the study, the writer drew his own conclusions.

Just noticed that this piece is a year and a half old. Why dredge it back up now? Desperation?

Lol his conclusion is anyone's conclusion who believes the actual data. He only said that for the sake of coming across objective.

The actual data speaks for itself.

Man scientific data can be force fed to you cons and you still wouldn't absorb it into your forebrains.
