Fitting that he's doing it in the thread dedicated to Issa (Republicorp's) FAILED $13 MILLION TAXPAYER-FUNDED witch hunt

It "needs" to be done at the Federal level, Joey because the Feds can simply add the cost of your single payer system to all the other entitlements that we already can't afford. The Governor of Vermont would LOVE to be able to do the same but unfortunately for him by law he has to have a balanced budget.

Well, no, it's just not possible to do it at the state level when that kind of commerce is done at the national level. People are already paying enough to cover single payer either through their employers or through their taxes to Medicare and Medicaid.

The truth that none of you board progressives will admit to is that your beloved single payer system will increase the healthcare costs of the average Middle Class taxpayer by a large amount. It has to. It's either that or it will increase the Federal Deficit by an even larger amount. The Vermont Governor realized that if he passed that cost on to the Middle Class in Vermont that they'd run him out of the State on a rail so he bailed on the attempt.

Since when do you wingnuts give a fuck about the "Middle Class". Not that we have a middle class anymore, thanks to your Boy Reagan.

Fact is, we spend 2.7 TRILLION on health care now, or 18% of GDP. Most other industrial Democracies spend anywhere from 8-11%. And, no before you go there, Canada is not inhabited by Zen Health Nuts.

The thing is, we have a lot of money that gets wasted becuase of the way we do it now. Not just dividends paid to shareholders in big Pharma, Big Insurance and big Health, but huge executive salaries, needless bureaucracies.

As an example, a doctor's office in Vermont spends $82,000 a year on filing claims. That's what happens when you have hundreds of different plans. By comparison, a medical practice in Canada only spends $28,000 filing claims to the single payer system they have.

Now, here's the gag. The reason why big insurance went along with ObamaCare is that private insurance doesn't really work. Not when providers can keep jacking up prices. That's why medical inflation is three times regular inflation.

Really, not only is Single Payer coming, it's probably inevitable. It's just how m uch money are we going to let big insurance suck out of us before we put it down like Old Yeller.

Who's calling someone names on Christmas...you three or me?

Keep trying to goad me into responding in kind, Dottie. It won't work. When you resort to that it simply tells me you've lost the argument.
