I have no issue with the progressive tax rate on regular earned income. The more you make, the higher your tax rate. I also have no issue with there being a ceiling on taxes.....if one earns below a certain level he or she should be exempt from having to pay taxes (federal)....it is good for the individual and it is good for the economy.

I have an issue with the idea of cap gains being taxed at an equal rate as regular earned w-2 or 1099 income.

Why should even one American, no matter how filthy rich, pay another thin dime to this regime when they won't bother to even make a budget? They've proposed no plan for repairing our unsustainable entitlements and broken their promises to reduce the deficit. If somebody takes your money, lights it on fire and burns it to ash right before your eyes, why the hell would you give him more?

It's not an honest proposal anyway. It's class warfare done for the sake of political division, done to harvest votes from useful idiots. Obama HAD ample opportunity to pass these taxes. And he KNOWS that even if he got all he wanted today, it would only result in a measly 28 billion annually. So, while that hurts small businesses who are scraping by in a slow economy, it's still not a drop in the bucket when the federal government is SPENDING 1.4 trillion per year. Ten grand here and ten grand there actually makes a difference when that's ALL the extra cash you've got to run your business. But it's nothing on the scale in which government spends.
