INGRAHAM: You’ve also noted that there are signs of improvement on the horizon in the economy. How do you answer the president’s argument that the economy is getting better in a general election campaign if you yourself are saying it’s getting better?

ROMNEY: Well, of course it’s getting better. The economy always gets better after a recession, there is always a recovery. […]

INGRAHAM: Isn’t it a hard argument to make if you’re saying, like, OK, he inherited this recession, he took a bunch of steps to try to turn the economy around, and now, we’re seeing more jobs, but vote against him anyway? Isn’t that a hard argument to make? Is that a stark enough contrast?

ROMNEY: Have you got a better one, Laura? It just happens to be the truth.

well, as business anticipate Obama's defeat they are going to start investing.

What, the truth is funny? A rational person would give Romney a high five for not trash talking the frail recovery for the sake of political point scoring.

Okay, once you are changing your tune from "The economy is all Obama (Or Bush, or Clinton or Reagan)'s fault" to "The recovery has nothing to do with (whoever)" is pretty much when you have to admit that your guy ain't gonna win.

Here's the thing. A president has about the same chance of dying in office as getting voted out of office.

Only 9 presidents have been voted out of office, 8 presidents have died in office. And "dying in office" was well in the lead until the recent era.

The economy always gets better is the freaking government leaves it alone. So far the republicans in the House are doing OK and the democrat majority in the senate seems paralyzed which is OK too.

No, whats funny is that everyday you scream Obama is destroying the economy then suddenly, when conservadaddy tells you its better, you do a 180. Thats whats funny.
