Whom are you talking about? With the election 4 years away it seems to me that it is threads like this that are the paranoid freaks spreading fear. After all how can liberals have it both ways? Brag about how they win all the elections and the Republicans are not popular then wail with pretend fear as if Republicans control everything. Thing is, you shouldn't be so open about your "the ends always justify the means for my side, so any dirty tactics are okay!". That's why the Republican party has the reputation of dogshit now. Here's a thought. Instead of working to rig elections and lie about liberals, how about you work to not make your party not suck so much? You know, win on the issues, like Democrats.

Oh, this thing probaby won't go to far. Point is, these states have majorities of democratic voters, and the Republicans hang on to majorities because of gerrymandering. If the Republicans push their sleaze too far, Democratic turnout will overwhelm their gerrymanders and the whole Republican structure collapses.

The election of the POTUS was about 51/48 with a black man in office and the MSM fully behind him and I think that the election was rigged or the polls were way wrong more so then ever. But that said it is still an almost 50/50 split so there is no reason for Republicans to panic it is clear that the democrat policies are leading us into disaster I just hope that the electorate wakes up before too late and the election process is investigated and repaired.

Republicans Are Planning to Rig The 2016 Election ? I Acknowledge Class Warfare Exists

Why this story isn’t getting more attention, I don’t know. But Republicans are openly seeking to rig the 2016 elections. RNC Chair Reince Priebus is encouraging Republicans who control the government in Democratic-leaning states–PA, OH, WI, MI especially–to overhaul their electoral systems and end winner-take-all distribution of electoral votes. Of course Republicans completely oppose doing this nationally. It is a naked and cynical attempt to rig the election. Rather than broaden their message to appeal to young and non-white voters, Republicans are looking to commit the greatest suppression of votes since the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed.

There's really not much in this article that we don't already know and really, the Rs will just continue what they've already done in the past. Whats interesting is that their efforts to steal/buy the presidential election didn't work.

Unless the Rs leave the golf courses, unending vacations and obstructing jobs and economic growth, will it work in 2016?

Before now, the push to eliminate the winner-take-all electoral college system had been from the Democrats...

Every economic indicator, really? How about the unemployed figure? How about the 6 trillion dollars in debt heaped upon your children and your grandchildren? How about the price you are paying for gasoline and everything else? How about the increase in those using food stamps?

No one ever said that the economy would not recover it always was too big not to. What was said was that Obama's policies would drag out the recovery and make it weaker, that has been proven to be true.

Another thing to consider: Democrats also have a better ground game than the GOP right now. Whether or not what they're saying is true is completely irrelevant when one is capable of reaching everyone better than your opponent... and let's face it, in this last election, Mittens wasn't exactly good at reaching out like that.

Also, don't discount the power of Hollywood in this country. Most of the big name actors and directors are liberal, which probably is just as damning to the GOP as anything else. You have people like Joss Whedon cracking jokes that if Romney wins, the zombie apocalypse will happen, and people like Will Ferrell making absurd commercials in support of Obama.

On the other hand you have Clint Eastwood... talking to a chair.

This isn't a popular vote. In fact, Obama could have won PA, as he did, and not get a majority of it's electors under this system.

Instead of all this dicking around with the Electoral College, let's just get rid of it and replace it with a system like the French have. If no one gets 50% in the first round of voting, you have a second round of voting.
