During his entire 8yr tenure what exactly did Bush Jr. accomplished that has advanced America forward as a country?

Most importantly, why do you on the right act as if b/c he he's not in Office anymore (thank God) that he doesn't matter, shouldn't be brought up and/or not to be mentioned again?

Any takers?

War on terror. That's pretty much it. The rest of his actions have been mediocre at best. Pretty disappointing.

Still, at least he had some leadership skills. Unlike our current President.

And then came.... Pelosi.

I would have mentioned the Supreme Court, but last week kind of makes that less spectacular.

Hindsight is 20/20. Still better than the alternatives.

LOL yep

These assholes want to ask how GW made things better.

How the hell has Obama made things better?

A stimulus that cost to much and did not deliver as promised?

An extremely Unpopular bloated health Care law that fails to solve the problem?

All they have is Attacks, and diversion.

How about an average of 4.5% uneployment during his term? Obama will never see that even if he is re-elected! Was it just it just happenstance that unemployment started to rise after the Dems took control of the House and Senate in 2006?

He didn't!!! He was a big spending liberal, did nothing to stop the mortgage meltdown started under CLINTON and caused by CLINTON, he doubled down on the stupidity started by the CLINTON administration by making private student loans non-dischargable, he had a piss poor Afghanistan strategy and he foolishly lead the Iraq invasion. He sucked and was anything buyt a conservative!

But because Bush sucked does that mean Barrack Obama (or even Clinton) were good Presidents? Not at all, so what is you point smokey?

Few if any people say he was a good President no matter what side of the isle your on.

Bush Jr wasn't a conservative, so why do you imagine any right-wingers are going to defend him?

At least he didn't destroy the country as Obama is doing in rapid fashion.

With NCLB, Medicare D, a new cabinet-level bureaucracy, TSA, bailouts, lots and lots of foreign aid, and scads of domestic spending that made Clintoon look like a miser, he accomplished lots of things lolberals claim that they like.

Well, that is until someone with an (R) steals their "ideas" and makes them his own....Then they hate his guts.

See: Nixon.

Not a rightwinger, but Bush was able to advance America quite a bit along its way to becoming a fascist police surveillance state.

As to why it shouldn't be brought up, that's just a standard Republican tactic. If one of theirs fucks up, it is "all in the past" or "we don't want to play the blame game." On the other hand, if a Democrat fucks up, there must be a congressional investigation and his whole life must be put under a microscope.

Then there is the whole denial thing, that he was never really a "conservative." In a few years, they will be rewriting history about him, just like they did with Reagan.

We passed through 8 years. That is called forward. However, since no one can effect the march of time...

You will have to define what you consider 'forward as a nation'. Until I know what you think is good and bad, there is no way I can begin to detail what information you want.

Forward to a leftist would not be considered advancement to Me.

Points of fact.

Bush did not have an average of 4.5% unemployment. Notice: Data not available: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

The Democrats did not take control of Congress in 2006.

You do, of course, realize that the USAPATRIOT act is a huge compilation of the Clintoon/Reno wish list, don't you?

After that, what has Boiking or any of his Bolshevik congressional glee club done to curtail all that police state overreach?

A president's job is not to advance the country. It is to work with the other branches of government to ensure we have good laws in place that respect the founding principles of the country. The rest is up to us.

If you are not advancing....it is your own fault.

Deal with it.

Whose administration gave us the Patriot Act? Who gave us the TSA? Who gave us the DHS? Who gave the president unheard of powers, including the ability to declare persons enemy combatants? The genie is out of the bottle. Good luck getting it back in again. The government, no matter which party is in power, isn't going to relinquish powers it has been given.
