So you cut their taxes, but you raised tuition costs, you raised co-pays, you raised user/access fees, you raised excise taxes. So the net-net is that after tax cuts, consumers go into debt to pay for the things that government had helped keep prices down.

Nothing "magical" about it. They work in a nation of 350 million because of diversity in the labor force and the ability to compete between states and localities. The economic impact is spread across an entire nation and not confined to state borders, so lack of jobs, lack of skilled labor, budget shortfalls and deficits aren't a problem. The US can borrow money from China, Kansas can't. The US can raise and lower interest through the Federal Reserve, Kansas can't. The US can implement tariffs and negotiate trade deals with other countries, Kansas can't.
