Republican talking points

I think its nuts to bash blacks voting for obama because he is black. They would not be showing up in these numbers if obama was jc watts. And the gop has alan keyes. Blacks don't show up for him.

But a democratic candidate? Of course they will show up in record numbers for that.

The democratic party is already the best choice for the inner city black community. That's not brag, that's fact. Every social program I their communities came from the dems.

But still the blacks don't feel the dems do enough, so of course they lok forward to a black being in the white house.

Perhaps now we can solve a lot of the inner city problems. Illegal drugs and guns, aids, poverty, better schools, unemployment.

This will be a good thing for all of america. Lower crime, smarter kids, less abortion, lower poverty, lower healthcare costs.

Republicans want all these things, they just don't want it to cost them anything. Well as you can see in iraq, reconstruction is not cheap.

African Americans have given dems 90-95% of their vote for over 40 years...

and they still have the highest % of people living below the poverty level.

A half black man with no real connection to what is like to have 'inner city problems' isn't going do it.

African Americans should look at the experience, record, and promises of both candidates then decide.

Not because he simply is a black democrat...because clearly if there has been significant progress then there would be less inner city problems..not more.

The Republicans have no issues to run on, so they have to make the election about Obama. He's a muslim! He's friend of terrorists! Today the talking point is, He's a socialist! The problem is Obama is none of these things. Obama is a Christian. He is not a friend of terrorists and he is not a socialist. In addition Obama has more governmental experience(10 years) than all but 20 of our presidents, and he is intelligent, charismatic, and well spoken. So what do the Republicans do? They use lies, falsehoods, and inuendo in the hope that the electorate is just dumb enough to believe them.

I think the real talking points are the things that Chris just posted here. There is no one of any prominence or significance who is saying that Obama is a Muslim. The fact is, Republicans are saying a lot more than the simple talking points that Chris just pointed out.

Here's something directly from Joe the Plumber! Obama's economic plan will not create jobs. It will kill jobs, because it will overtax small business and lessen their ability to hire workers. Obama's magic number is $250,000 per year. Well guess what! There are a lot of entrepreneurs and small business owners who reach tax bracket. How does Obama expect them to create jobs when more of their earnings are going to Washington?

Chris seems to think that all Republicans are doing is talking about "Barack the Muslim", "Barack the terrorist" and "Barack the Socialist". There is a lot more to this election than what Chris is willing to see, and that simplistic blurb he/she posted only illustrates that point more.

ok, we'll go your route. Poverty and crime rose under the gop. Why do you think blacks liked clinton. Cities did well in the 90's and progressed on the issues under clinton but took a huge step back under the gop. The gop sent their jobs overseas and allowed illegals to compete for minimum wage jobs.

To suggest obama doesn't understand what its like to be black is wrong and ignorant.

Clearly alan keyes, jc watts and condi won't help fix our inner city problems, and neither will mccain.

But obama won't ignore white america like bush ignored black america.

Ok, lets talk about that. So $40k a yr joe is worried that someone making $260k will pay $300 more under obama. Joe needs to worry about himself. If Obama wins, joe will be able to pay his back taxes.

And obama will give the business owner a tax break if he hires, so joe can stop worrying about them now.

How's business joe? Most small business' aren't complaining about taxes joe. They'd be glad to pay taxes if business would just pick up.

People are making less and its killing the exonomy.

I can't tell you every reason why you are wrong. I just thought of 10 other things I could say to explain why your theory is wrong, but I would be just wasting my time.

Company tax rates have ben dropping steady since reagan. They aren't paying their fair share. Loopholes, write offs, hiring illegals, etc.

Our founding fathers warned us about we the ppl taking a back seat to corporations. It is happening, and you are one of their foot soldiers. Slave.

Most ppl worrying about $250k ppl will never themselves make that much. Bush's tax breaks didn't work and was itself wealth distribution.

Clinton got 95 percent of the black vote, but how many blacks voted? How many millions of new black voters are registered this time for Obama? Yes, I bet that bothers you. I love it.

This is the best thing for democracy. High voter turnout. Republicans always benefit from low voter turnout.

And you dumb republicans don't ralize this is a good thing. Now they have to start working for us and not only for the top 10 percent.

And you bitter ppl clinging to god gays and guns aren't in the top 10. You need to realize that.
