The longer the Republican presidential hopefuls battle over sexual harassment claims against Herman Cain, the better things look for President Barack Obama as he mounts his campaign for re-election.

The rare instance of infighting in a party known for its unity comes just as Obama, a Democrat, is gaining some traction in opinion polls and the U.S. economy is showing signs of improvement.

A poll from Quinnipiac University this week showed that 47 percent of Americans approve of Obama's job performance, up six percentage points from early October.

On Wednesday, data showed U.S. private employers added more jobs than expected last month, raising hopes that Friday's October unemployment report might show improvement from the September's 9.1 percent rate.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc, Goose.

I suspect the bump in Obama's poll numbers has more to do with his move to the left in his rhetoric than it does with Cain's alleged misbehavior.

With 15% real unemployment, $15,000,000,000,000+ debt, massive deficits, soaring energy prices, inflation, the collapse of the dollar, out-of-the-gate failed Obamacare, bailouts, OWS fiasco, etc., nobody is going to give a shit about a bunch of nonsense such as this.

Ok, I had to look up "hoc ergo propter hoc". You could be right.

I'm just enjoying the FACT that both Obama AND the economy is starting to rebound. :clap2:

Obviously they do if his approval rating is going up. :eusa_whistle:

Thats what happens when you successfully hide gun running and billion dollar crony capitalism scandals in favor of some ho' that wanted a payoff two decades ago......

Only the conservatives care about these things....
The liberals WANT all this nonsense...they LIVE to bash the right with trivial crap like this. This is all they have!
They don't care that Obama is a failure.

Evidently it's working given his rising poll numbers and at the same time says a lot about the GOP candidates, right?

obama 2012: almost half of us think he doesn't suck completely

damn, that's punchy

order the bumper stickers now.

LOL that's the truth. The truly pathetic thing is that, given what the cat dragged in to GOP HQ, it's probably enough.
