Republican Senators Blast Court Nominee for Remarks About Alito

:lol::lol::lol:
Republican senators called into question Goodwin Liu's temperament as a possible judge, blasting the controversial 9th Circuit Court of Appeals nominee during his confirmation hearing Friday over statements he made about Supreme Court Judge Samuel Alito's "vision of America."

At the time of Judge Alito's confirmation process Liu was quoted as saying that "in Judge Alito's America, the police may shoot unarmed Americans ... the FBI may install a camera where you sleep ... an all white jury may convict a black man to death."

so, obie wan messiah doesn't have racist tendencies huh?

I don't see the problem,
A conservative will nominate a conservative candidate.
A liberal will nominate a liberal candidate.
And a radical will nominate a radical candidate.

Am I wrong?

I am a Republican who has no respect or allegiance to Comrades McConnell or Boehner as party leader.

We Republicans are in for a very rough ride this fall.
You have no allegiance to any republican because you're a far leftist democrat, tovarich.

Jake's still trying to spin that old yarn, huh Dude?
Not like he's hasn't outted himself out on that in so many levels

Last time I checked Olberman never hoped for violence.
Oh my bad, I thought we were talking ethics and morals. :eusa_whistle:

I thinking hoping for violence has to do with ethics and morals.

And I will remind all of you, Rush told Olberman when he was on ESPN, it was a dream of his to work with Olberman one day. ;)

I guess olberman should have stuck to sports, because he is every bit as partisan as rush is when it comes to politics.

Republican Senators are defending the right of the Wall Street and Bankers to be spared any regulations that might prevent another financial debacle.

Sounds to me that their united repudiation of anyone President Obama nominates to any position, is a high recomendation for that person.

so true, anyone that mainstream republicans fear or hate is someone I might like.

Quite possible so, but much more rational than Rush.

Rush is a disgusting waste of skin. And lots of it too.

That goes without saying UScitizen....was there another point? :lol:

Anyone that is a conservative would argue that point with you about olberman, rational and keith never crossed paths.

I see you don't know much about Alito and his rulings.

I'm not referring to Liu's statements on Alito, but his overall statements in general on a great many matters. The man is very much outside the mainstream of America and does not belong on any court.

I dissagree. Liu should have jumped up and gone all Bruce Lee on those racist fucks!

:lol::lol:

What was stated in the hearings that was "racist"? That term is thrown around so much today that it has almost no meaning other than an attempt to stop any real debate.

We Republicans are in for a very rough ride this fall.

The Republican Party is no longer a viable option in this country. There may be good people in the party, but the rabid and radical anti-democratic entities and people like Grover Norquist and Club for Growth that control and dictate every vote at every level of government are the most destructive elements to our country that I've seen in 50+ years.

The current GOP doesn't even consider truth, they spew Frank Luntz talking points designed to destroy our President and gain power.

Interesting that you say that about the GOP but fail to the mirror image in the Dems. The Dems have been overrun by left wing freaks like Pelosi, et al.... and of course, the big empty suit, Obama.

No one wants to 'destroy our President', honey. We just want him out of office because he's a socialist. "May his days in office be short and may another take his place".

Until the Republican Party purges the far whinge right is trying to take over mainstream conservatism, that party should not be in control.
