How much the Orange man spent on his reelection campaign. Where does a public *cough* "servant" get that kind of money?

This is a problem with BOTH parties.

* Democrats local:
Gene Locke and Annise Parker both spent
1.4 million and 1.6 million on a RUN OFF alone.
BOTH DEMOCRATS running for MAYOR of Houston.
This does not include their campaign SPENDING overall,
only what they spent between the first vote and the subsequent run off.

* Democrats state level
John Whitmire spending 6 million
when his DEMOCRAT challenger had less than 1/10 of that to spend.

* Democrats national election
Obama spent a record 6 billion on re-election
and is still collecting donations to lobby to defend ACA
instead of investing in singlepayer as most Democrat constituents want instead

Romney's contributions and spending was also high.

But Obama's spending was especially troubling given the plight of constituents deprived
of funds for local programs; and was criticized most vocally by Cornel. West.

* Republicans in Texas
who presumably don't need to fight as hard to keep their seats
(in a Red State where the primary votes for Greg Abbott alone
exceeded the votes for all the other candidates combined)

John Cornyn has raised and spent at least 8 million
not including other opponents spending additional resources
to fight fellow Republican Steve Stockman through negative media stories.

And if you want to count the cost of Occupy's campaigns,
the early estimates of the cost to the public of policing
and cleaning up from their encampments was
* 10 million early estimate cost to taxpayers
* up to 30 million overall costs combined nationally

yes she is. if a democrat spends more money, that is fine, but if a republican spends lots of money, that bad. she is hackish that way.

I hope you realize that most candidates don't spend only their own money on an election.

That being said, I did notice that on February 15, 2012, he got a $2,500 donation from a woman in New Bremen, Ohio, whose occupation is listed as "homemaker".

Mostly, his contributors are retirees or some hold sort of management position, e.g. they're self-employed or have a title of President, CEO, General Manager, etc. at their workplace. That's normal for Republican candidates, though.

However, the overwhelming majority of his money came from small contributions made from out of state. That is not normal for Congressmen. People are donating to him from as far away as Hawaii, and in miniscule amounts; most of the transactions I looked at were $100 or less.
