Republican capitalism would have no problem with the Poor dying on the street "for free."

It amazes me how many times on the USMB Republicans say something stupid and insists it sounds smart.

Whats truly amazing is that liberals feel things are stupid, cant present a reason, and yet imagine themselves to be more than tiny children.

The Project Gutenberg eBook of Bradford's History of 'Plimoth Plantation', by William Bradford

There you go smartass. Now, prove me wrong.

Problem is, you can't. Hell, immediately before the quote so often used by supporters of the "capitalism revisionism" Bradford talks about how the people pissed away what they did have. That is in the year 1623. But take a look at the year 1626. They colonists had to borrow money, so much for all that success capitalism breed, and they COLLECTIVELY, you know, like socialists, took on that debt, dividing the responsibilities of payment among themselves.

Then take a look at 1629, more colonists were coming and honestly, they acted more communist than socialist and most certainly were not practicing individual capitalism. They were "companies", legally tied together and in debt for their transportation to the New World and their initial supplies. A COLLECTIVE debt again, to be paid back with the "treasures" they were able to attain in the New World, like beaver pelts and lumber. Treasuries that they collected TOGETHER, like socialists.

Still waiting for you to explain how your idiotic notion will increase life-spans by up to 20 years. Based on red states having lower average life spans than blue states, your nonsense would likely result in shorter life spans.

If all an unemployed Person need do, is apply for unemployment compensation to obtain compensation for capitalism's natural rate of unemployment; that Person would be able to afford to make payments on some form of insurance. And, potentially save up for some discretionary procedures.

An upward pressure on wages is what is necessary on an Institutional basis not Individual basis for the Poor.
