Republican Bobby Jindal wins by landslide

Not much coverage in the liberal media.

Heh, I lived in Louisiana for 20 years, no one pays any attention, it’s got nothing to do with ‘liberal’ media, it has to do with ratings.

Republican Jindal won every Parish in Louisiana to take a ten way primary for governor by 66%.

In a hyper-conservative state like Louisiana, if he hadn’t gotten those numbers, that would be news.

Shades of 2012?

Louisiana as some kind of a ‘bellwether,’ you’ve got to be kidding.

Just goes to show Jindal is an incumbent Republican gov in a Republican state.

Louisiana is a Republican State now? At best it's a Purple state.

Okay, so...it's a purple state....And? Point is, it's not a blue state, and it's a southern state, and Jindal is an incumbent gov. I don't think any liberal here or anywhere had any illusions that the governorship was going to flip to the Dems. In other words, this thread is pointless and silly.

Regardless of the left's typical bigoted dismissal of "southern states" the truth is that Louisiana is traditionally a democrat state. Democrats managed to push the health care law through by bribing a Louisiana democrat senator last year. The point is that the liberal media is virtually silent about Jindal's big win and they desperately hope that nobody notices the 66% republican and 18% democrat showing in an election which was supposed to be a primary. Under Lousiania law if a primary candidate wins better than 50% they get the job.

LA was Democratic until the Southern Strategy, but you knew that.

Ah, the world according to Wiki. It must be easy to be a liberal. All you have to do is dial up pop racism. It's amazing but not surprising that Wiki can be so biased in the face of reality. Democrats were lynching Blacks in the South for the first half of the 20th century and every democrat (including the likes of Al Gore Sr., Al Gore's father) was a racist and Wiki has the gall to say that republicans invented racial intimidation? The world is upside down to liberals. The Southern Strategy promoted civil rights.

Are you talking about the time BEFORE the conservatives left the Democratic Party and joined the Republican Party? Oops.

Not much coverage in the liberal media. Republican Jindal won every Parish in Louisiana to take a ten way primary for governor by 66%. The nearest democrat had 18%. Shades of 2012?

It's Louisiana. It's not exactly a bastion of liberalism.

Maybe this is why.

Could you please provide the standard deviation on the tests or some other statistic that tells me that the three points spearating 10 and 50 are really meaningful ?

Since when is the deep and dirty south NOT considered Red?

They say the Republican Party isn't 90% white. And that more than 6% of scientists must be Republican.

I just don't understand why a confederate party that's 90% white would insist they aren't. It's what defines them.

Since we are talking about Louisiana which has always been left leaning.
Yeah...and apparently 'chameleons'

Louisiana's chameleon voters tint red state purple

In this case? They took the correct course of action especially when thier livlihoods are threatened by the current crop in power...took the correct course.
