Repub candidates skip jobs meeting

they are more interested in what the corporations have to say than voters

Its up to Dems to create jobs...

Government does not create jobs, it only takes them from the private sector.

To say government creates jobs is akin to robbing a grocery store of the till, giving that money to a homeless guy, and when that guy goes into the same store you robbed to buy beer, calling that 'stimulus'.

Stated differently, any money used to "create" jobs must first be taken out of the economy, generally from the country's most productive citizens, those most likely to start businesses and hire people. You can't take money from real job creators, run it through corrupt and inefficient government bureaucracies, and call it 'job creation' when the government eventually gets around to hiring someone. That's a net loss of jobs.

SO no jobs were created by the government funding research for the moon project? Nothing became of the R&D to develop the microprocessor?
No jobs were created by building the interstate system?
No jobs were created by the internet, which came about through government funding?

Does it HURT you to be so ignorant? I imagine it does.

SO no jobs were created by the government...

Not without first removing the ability to create jobs in the private sector. The money for government funded job creation doesn't grow on trees, it's taken from job creators.

Didn't expect you to resist an ad hominem attack. Good luck with that.

Mitt Romney, GOP Candidates Skip Meeting With Mayors On Job Creation

What the hell. Its not like jobs are a big priority with the GObP/Repubs. Its up to Dems to create jobs while Repubs do what they do best - give our money to the 1%.
Your precious DEMS just killed it today about creating good jobs that are for union employees too.. They said NO to the pipeline.Industry Source: State Department Will Reject Keystone Pipeline Reroute | Fox News. Now go away

You didn't answer my questions.

Were jobs created as a result of goverment spending on the microprocessor, interstate system and the internet?

Yes or no.
It's that simple.

And whining about being called ignorant when you're being ignorant doesn't rebut the fact that you're ignorant, does it?

Perhaps you could post a link that showed that government spending gives less "bang for the buck" economically than tax cuts do? That would CERTAINLY prove your point, wouldn't it and it should be rather easy to prove if the data is out there on it.

I already know the answer, so I won't spoil the surprise for you, but suffice it to say, that you're not going to like it any more than you liked it when I called a spade a spade.

No. The private sector made microprocessors and the internet an engine to drive business, not government. After the interstate system was pass under the guise of national security (it was paid for through the DOD), it did create jobs for those businesses that could afford to build businesses along the new roads...while closing those businesses along Route 66 and elsewhere. States should build roads, not the feds.

And whining about being called ignorant when you're being ignorant doesn't rebut the fact that you're ignorant, does it?

Ad hominem and emotionally based arguments. Par for the course.

Red Herring. We're not talking about tax cuts. Try to focus.

What if we all went to work for the government? The system would collapse because there wouldn't be enough income. The jobs created by the government are parasitic jobs that end up hurting senior citizens the most. Since the government doesn't have the money to pay for these projects they will have to borrow the money. The fed will print money to cover it and lend it to the government ( with interest) which will increase inflation and hurt those that are on fixed incomes.
This currency devaluation also shrinks the middle class since their dollars are now worth less but thier expenditures remain the same. The poor might be fine since the government will just give them a raise on foodstamps and welfare which will perpetuate the cycle.

This is why the spending needs to stop.
