Report: Egypt offers Abbas a Palestinian state in Sinai
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
According to Army Radio report, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi offered Palestinian Authority 620 square miles of land adjacent to Gaza in exchange for relinquishing claims to 1967 borders • PA President Abbas reportedly rejects proposal

Egyptian Foreign ministry denies offering Mahmoud Abbas land in peninsula; Palestinians claim story fabricated

At least so glad if it did happen, that Abbas turned it down. Time to go back to the 1967 lines.

That doesn't make sense.

The Sinai is already inhabited to the extent that it can support people. If not - more people would have gone there, or been bred there.

It is a desert.
And let's for argument's sake say they took it. Maybe even discovered there was oil. How long before Egypt 'reclaimed it's historical land'?

Nah.
It would make no sense.

If this proves to be true... what a difference this could make.

It could be that the Egyptians have finally hit on a solution.

Hell, much of the world would pour money and materials and technical help into the Sinai, over a period of several decades, to build-up the infrastructure and agricultural base, in order to give the Palestinians a viable nation-state, and to finally put an end to six or seven decades of bloodshed in the Holy Land.

It gives the Israelis what they want... a Jewish State from River to Sea, and the West Bank and Gaza, and, most especially, Jerusalem.

It gives the largely displaced and suffering Palestinians what they will want and need in years to come, a large and contiguous land-mass in the region to call their own, and the support of the entire world, to transform desert into garden, and to finally give them a state of their own.

Such a solution would prove a boon and blessing to all concerned, if (1) it's enough [the Egyptians may need to carve-off a much bigger slice of the Sinai than that, if they're willing], and (2) it's real.

Better to lose Jerusalem and gain an entire country.

Better to live, and to give your people a future, than to keep them in shitholes for another several generations, and to subject them to hardship and bloodshed and a dead-end future, for pipe-dreams that will never materialize.

I'll be interested to learn more when time permits.

Hamas won't demilitarize for Abbas (PA), Israel or Egypt
Egypt is offering land that was Ottoman sanjuk of Jerusalem, not egyptian.

Why is that, asshole? So the arabs can keep pressuring and attacking the jews from up close?

To those with any brains whatsoever, this conflict is obviously not about land, was never about land, and never will be about land - it is exclusively about attacking and killing jews.

Arab muslims do not accept the sovereignty of non-muslims in the mideast, and despite their being offered a region that is FIVE FUCKING TIMES larger then the current gaza strip and west bank COMBINED, STILL refuse to accept an end to the conflict.

At this point, only the insane, the jew-hating vermin, and the filth of the earth bottom-feeding trash still buy into the arab muslim lie/false narrative about this being a land issue; it is anything but.

That doesn't make sense.

Of course it wouldn't, you lack the brains to understand it.

Wrong chimp...nice to see idiots discuss a place they know nothing about, have never been to, or seen.

It is a desert.

Which can easily be irrigated and cultivated, but again, brains are needed to understand such things that are well beyond you.

And let's for argument's sake say they took it. Maybe even discovered there was oil. How long before Egypt 'reclaimed it's historical land'?

It would be a sovereign nation, that could not be invaded. Facts much, monkey?

Nah. It would make no sense.

You're right idiot, to the animal arab muslim filth whose sole existence is the murder of jews, and having zero interest in creating their own country that actually functions, it wouldn't...

If it's not about land why does Israel continue to occupy territory that is not theirs and continue to expand and occupy territory that is not theirs?

How about you prove beyond reasonable doubt that the land is not theirs, maybe by producing copies of the title deeds issued by the Ottomans and the British. A rusty key is not proof of land ownership, just proof of a rusty key. Then produce the evidence that the right of return does not apply to the Jews and that the Oslo accords were not signed

Abbas will of course refuse, dragging the Palestinians again to eternal conflict, and somehow that would be Israel's fault, correct?

Far better solution would be to move Israel there...
Well, that kind of thinking you share with Abbas, is why Palestinians can't get a state, good job cheerleader.

The Palestinians don't have a state because a bunch of European colonists took their land from them. What drugs are you on, Hasbara Kid.

Pure nonsense.

Just fact. Europeans went to Palestine settled on it and drove out most of the non-Jews that were living on the land. That is what happened at the most basic. Did the non-Jews resist being driven out, yes. But that doesn't change the basic fact. It is you that is spouting nonsense.

Muslims better hope Israel never accepts such a deal.
Israel would turn a desert loaded with oil into to a paradise within 10 years.

I suggest studying some post-Roman Conquest Jewish history.

What does that have to do with anything. How does it change the basic fact of what happened to the Palestinians?

No, the Palestinians don't have a state because a bunch of greedy and hateful primitives that rage war all over the world, murdering even their own, and of course their cheerleaders, racial slurs that incite them, this is the truth, you should try once bitch.
