As I recall the left on this board insisted every time a new General was appointed to Iraq by Bush or the Defense department, the old one was being fired for political reasons and the new one was somehow a special yes man for Bush.
Well Gates and Obama are firing the general in Afghanistan with less than a year on the Job. He has complained that the men and material he needs to do the job are tied up in Iraq.
So where is the left to insist this is nothing but a political move to get a yes man in for Obama? Or is it now "different"?
