Rep. Ilhan Omar Pushes Anti-Israel Resolution

Should Ilhan Omar's Anti-Israel Resolution come to pass in Congress?

  • Yes, because the Democrats are in command in Congress and should make their anti-Antisemitism known.

US Rep. Ilhan Omar proposed a resolution this week supporting the right to boycott Israel, likening the boycott of the Jewish state to boycotts of Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. Omar’s resolution seeks to push back against US laws banning the boycott of Israel and affirms the right of Americans to organize boycotts of foreign countries if they wish.

While the resolution doesn’t explicitly name Israel or the pro-Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, she told media outlets that the resolution concerns the Jewish state.“We are introducing a resolution … to really speak about the American values that support and believe in our ability to exercise our First Amendment rights in regard to boycotting,” Omar (D-Minn.) “And it is an opportunity for us to explain why it is we support a nonviolent movement, which is the BDS movement,” she added.

Have you heard of the BDS Movement? Democrats have acknowledged that BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions specifically of Israel) indicates Antisemitism and in the past have discouraged BDS to avoid being compared to the highly antisemitic Nazis of Germany, and the Bolsheviks of Russia. Congresswoman Omar mentioned two other Congressmen who have joined her movement who are Congressman John Lewis and Congresswoman Rashida Talib.

A professor guest on the video this is discrimination. 27 States have also condemned such BDS movements in the past. Some of these states are conflicted now, because they have supported the gang of 4 up to this point.

And I know this will not please some of USMB people who support the gang of 4, but the President is less than thrilled with the way these congressmen are manipulating the Democrats further and further into the far left realm:

Wrong.

The Israeli government’s policy hostile to Palestinians is both reprehensible and unwarranted.

To engage in appropriate, justified criticism of those reprehensible policies is not to be ‘ antisemitic.’

The thread premise is a lie - Omar is not advocating for an ‘anti-Israel’ resolution.

So glad to hear that she changed her mind after her party, several in the leftist media, people in her district, and a physician who treats 9/11 survivors of trauma they still have to this day said she is doing damage to American citizens by her carrying her sewage in public and distributing it online, is quoted in the papers, and all else. Her patients already have enough problems without an American Congressman praising the people who put one or more of their loved ones in the grave on 9/11. These people have no peace from what they were put through, and Ms. Omar makes things worse on bereaved American citizens who lived through the tragedy Mrs. Omar flips off as "some people did some things...."

Mrs. Omar is not in the State Department and their tasks do not fall under her power. She is representing citizens of America, and from what I've heard, they're not going to have her back only to have her interfere with the Executive Branch for not doing things her way. Her state have real people with real needs, and she's so busy trying to beat the President up for her entire tour she is not doing her people any favors with all her venom directed at a person who is bringing jobs to her state, to relieve them of problems caused by neglect in favor of making an impression on her gang of friends.

Sorry, but that is crazy.
Islam and Palestinians had nothing to do with the 9/11 attack.
It was done by secular Saudis.
Before the hijacking to crash into the WTC, the Saudis involved were known for heavy drinking of alcohol, gambling, and other actions that are contrary to the beliefs of Islam.

Omar has to say, "some people did some things" because they were not Muslim and not Palestinian.
And while they committed murder, that is not nearly as bad as the genocide Israel is trying to commit against the Palestinians.

The State Department is part of the executive branch, and all of the executive branch falls under the power of the legislative.
The legislative decides EVERYTHING, and then the executive is supposed to carry out the laws and resolutions passed by Congress.

She should be representing MN and not refugees in other countries, but ending the $5 billion a year we give to Israel would go a long way to helping all US citizens in all states.

that is not nearly as bad as the genocide Israel is trying to commit against the Palestinians.
There are nearly four times the number of Palestinians today than there were when Israel was created in 1948.

That has to be the least successful genocide in History.

I'm insulted that you would think Jews are that bad at anything.

The Israeli government’s policy hostile to Palestinians is both reprehensible and unwarranted.

In your, decidedly uniformed, opinion.

How could it be otherwise?
The Jews were not native to the Land of Canaan when they invaded around 1000 BC, they angered everyone so much the the Assyrians, Babylonians, and Romans all kicked them out at different time.
There were no significant number of Jews in the Land of Canaan from about 160 AD to 1930 AD, and even now Jews represent less than 30% of the population of Palestine/Israel.
The Jews in Israel are not the majority and yet illegally prevent free passage of the Palestinians for commerce, fishing, or even outside education. They know that if they ever are allowed to leave, they will not be allowed back again.
That is clearly both illegal and reprehensible.

Israel can't commit the kind of genocide they want because they can't afford it.
Their financing is based on maintaining the illusion of victim, so they have to be careful if they want the US to keep bankrolling them.
The massacres at the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila show more what the Israelis would like to do, or the massacres of Arab villages back as far as 1946, like Dier Yassin.

Yea, that's why Arab-Israelis are fleeing Israel in record numbers, right? I'm joking, of course. After all, Arab-Israelis (which is the same as Palestinian-Israelis) have a higher standard of living than any other Arab in the middle-east outside of a few, small, uber-rich Arab oil states.

Ask a gay Palestinian living under the rule of Hamas or the PA if they would rather live in Israel.

As well, the Palestinians under the rule of other Palestinians has engaged in non-stop war against Israel from day one. Engaging in non-stop wars has consequences, such as a loss of territory. Just ask the Germans. They lost a lot of territory after the second world war. Oh and, aligning oneself with Hitler probably wasn't a good idea either. I take it you didn't mind that Palestinian leadership encouraged Hitler to exterminate Jews and aligned themselves with him.

Neither you nor I know exactly what happened in ''Palestine'' during the 1940's but, once the United Nations recognized Israel as an independent nation, Arabs in and out of the region went all-out to kill every Jew that they could find. Why do you support the Arab (and Persian) efforts to finish what Hitler started?

[QUOTE="Rigby5, post: 22763088, member: 62929"They know that if they ever are allowed to leave, they will not be allowed back again.[/QUOTE]

It was clear to good and decent people in the world in 1948 that the Jews most definitely needed and were most deserving of their own state. For that matter, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Iraq were also given their own states and so were the ''Palestinians'', who rejected the offer because they were intolerant and didn't want to live with or near Jews.

The Jews deserve their own state because leftists like you and Hitler have been persecuting and exterminating Jews since time began. Giving Israel their own state gives Jews a fighting chance to protect themselves from goons like you and the ''Hitlers'' of the world, such as Iran. But since Jews are few in number, it's necessary for them to take steps to protect their Jewish majority because, once they lose it, Israel will cease to exist, which I know is your greatest dream. Heil Hitler!

That is incredibly ignorant.
The Palestinians and other Arab countries did NOT at all align with the Germans in WWI or WWII.
They were definitely fighting on the Allied side in WWI, and somewhat took the Allied side in WWII as well.
The image you put up was the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, who was NOT at all an Arab leader, and had been appointed by the British. He did not represent any Palestinians at all.

And it is a lie to blame the wars on anyone but Israel.
It is Israel that started all the wars, the first in 1948 was started by Zionists massacring Arab villages like Dier Yassin.

Whatever Israel and their lobby want it to mean. thus...propose a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue..***poof*** you're an anti-Semite! Object to sweetheart arms deals with Israel...yup...you're an anti-Semite!

Why do you advocate for yet another totalitarian, terrorist, Arab state? And let's be honest, that's exactly what it would be because that's what it is now.
