Rep. Chaffetz: "The U.S. Military is Spending $20 Million for Firewood"

And Obama wasted a half a billion on Solyndra and who knows how much on the other green energy companies that went bankrupt..

Willard? He's president???? WTF does he have to do with anything involving the US government? Hell Obama wants to cut defense spending yet they are buying fire wood. THAT is what you should be commenting on.

Eisenhower, Republican, warned us about this with his Military Industrial Complex speech but nobody listened.

The Military has been wasting money for decades and all of a sudden it has caught Freewill's attention?
I remember at least 2 decades ago when it was revealed the military was spending $200 for toilet seats. If there is one department within our government who needs to be audited, it has to be the Department of Defense. And let's have the audit go back at least twenty years.

Actually, it was a $600 toilet seat for a P-3 aircraft

The P-3C Orion antisubmarine aircraft went into service in 1962. Twenty-five years later it was determined that the toilet shroud, the cover that fits over the toilet, needed replacement. Since the airplane was out of production this would require new tooling to produce. These on-board toilets required a uniquely shaped, molded fiberglass shroud that had to satisfy specifications for vibration resistance, weight, and durability. The molds had to be specially made, as it had been decades since their original production. The price reflected the design work and the cost of the equipment to manufacture them. Lockheed Corp. charged $34,560 for 54 toilet covers, or $640 each

The Govt in all its glory is good at wasting our tax dollars.

Yeah, but the testing and documentation that goes along with that toilet seat makes it a "bargain" at $600.
