Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL) Apologizes and Perhaps the Quote of the Year So Far

I say this guy on Rachel Maddow's show last night.

He is the biggest fucking liar I have seen in some time, he calimed the GoP was blocking everything, knowing full well the GoP lacks the votes to block anything.

Rache never called him on this bullshit but only smirked and nodded in agreement.
Ever hear of procedural moves?

You apparently do not watch C-Span.

We can't afford it? How is it that we can afford to invade foreign countries, destroy their infrastructure and then build it back FOR THEM?
Since it escapes you, we couldn't afford that either, and unlike you, i was actually protesting that from the start while you waved a flag and said ok, go get em!

Good. So, you would be in favor of closing down our military operations in Japane and the UK, as well as our "wars" in Afghanistan and Iraq, and then funnel that money to actually hlep people in our own country?
Damn straight, as well as the rest of Europe and ME where the US has 'bases.'

Its time to end the 'imperial police' nonsense of FDR and Truman.

Cheap-ass dishonest rhetoric from a lying sack of shit liberal Democratic, like Rep. Grayson, deserves no "applause" or "thanks."

Liberoidal Democratics are VERY concerned with killing the pre-born, but pay expensive lip-service ONLY to 'caring for people' AFTER they escape state sponsored mass extermination prior to birth.

I don't give a crap if a lying sack of shit like Rep. Grayson apologizes or not. I'd rather use his dishonest rhetoric as a tool to expose the liberoidal Democratics for what they are.

How do you KILL something that is "pre-born" exactly?

Abortions ssem to work quite well.

Since you appear to lack the rudimentary knowledge to discuss the topic intelligently, I will share a morsel of information with you. A child can be "alive" without yet having been born. Your limited and myopic conception (no pun intended) of what "life" means provides no meaningful or useful definition.

Ever hear of majorities in both houses and that the speaker sets the procedure?

Democrats are the ones del;aying because they aern't of one mind, do not make excuses for them, you should expect the GoP to be against this, but hold accountable Democrats for trying to hide why there is no vote.

Lame. Nothing the GOP does can prevent the Dems from passing the bill.

Really? Define "alive"...

Yes. Really. There are many definitions of "alive." Here's one:

Main Entry: alive
Pronunciation: \ə-ˈlīv\
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle English, from Old English on life, from on + līf life
Date: before 12th century
1 : having life : not dead or inanimate
* * * *

Would you say a zygote or embryo or fetus is "dead?" Is it not "animate?"

You are right on this. The Dems are allowing the GOP all the rope in the world to hang themselves before the Dems pass the bill and the President signs it. The Dems are capturing all of the Pub behavior, and the Dems will torture the Pub candidates next fall with the Party's failings this year.

If the Dims were absolutely dedicated and united (not the the Republicans are), I agree. The Republicans could not stop a single freakin' thing in the House and it looks like even a filibuster in the Senate cannot work since there are enough Dim votes to invoke cloture.

All the procudural tactics in Robert's Rules of Order combined couldn't stop the Dim onslaught if the Dims were determined enough. The GOP simply does not have enough voting power to prevent it.

The ONLY thing that prevents the Dims from achieving WHATEVER they want to "accomplish" is that they lack sufficient unity -- and I believe it's fair to attribute THAT to the power of the People. The liberoidal Dims may TRY to dismiss the tea-parties etc as tea-bagging and as the lunatic right wing-nuts etc. But the reality is that many of these assclown liberal Democratics KNOW that the People ARE opposed to much of what they and President Obama are trying to "sell." Their Party "unity" collapses (thank God) in the face of the likely penalty come election day.

They do it all the time, and have done it no matter which party is in power.

Adding extraneous amendments, call for drawn out readings, etc...Judd Gregg (R-NH) relays just one of the fun little procedural moves the GOP has in their arsenal:

"Gregg said that Republicans could file “hundreds” of points-of-order objections to the bill, each one requiring 60 votes to waive."

GOP readies wave of objections to stall healthcare bill in Senate - TheHill.com

True, the Dems could pull the previously known (under Bush's GOP) "nuclear option," but its a hella pay if it comes to that.

If the republicans want to filibuster a bill then I think that they should, but I needs to be a real fillibuster. They need to stop trying to get a bill that will get 60 votes and have all the lame compromises in it and instead need to work on a real full out government healthcare bill that will get the 50 dem votes. I ask then which republican will want to stand on the senate floor for hours, or even days and make a fool of himself because he is literally standing against progress and standing for the insurance compainies?

What are you yammering about?

The Dims don't have to worry about a filibuster because they already CAN invoke cloture.

GOP opposition to the currently proposed version of "health care" reform is not standing against "progress." It is standing against imbecility.

We can all recognize that health care delivery in America could stand some improvement. That does not mean that we are obliged to get behind yet more governmental interference and socialism to "get" the manner of health care delivery changed. Recognizing that there may be a "problem" is not the same as agreeing on the manner of "solution."

The liberal Democratics have their heads up their asses. The PEOPLE don't want what those assbites are peddling.

Loved it when they showed all those clips of whining Republicans and then the same Republicans on the house floor saying Obama wants to kill you grandmother and the Obama deathsquads.

Can anyone say, "Hypocrite"?

What are you blathering on about again? The Dems are the only ones to blame if they cannot pass their own bill. Read up on cloture and get yourself informed.

Personally, I would take a form of healthcare that is controlled by the government that must ultimately answer to the people of the United States of America. Rather than a for profit insurance corporation that will only answer to its share holders. That is why government health care is what is best for the country. That is unless you advocate fascism for America.

Government already controls Medicare and its subject to Billions on fraud and waste annually and is underfunded in the Trillions.

Clue: Get one today.

But who commits is the fraud, it is not the government. It is the for profit corporations that are willing to steal from the citizens to pad their bottom line and inflate their share price.

I'm not sure how you classify "Fraud" when we already have a system being drained by 17MM Illegal Aliens?
