Reort: Marine One Helicopter Blueprints found by Iran

Iran is not the only country that appears to be accessing this type of information through file-sharing programs, Boback told the station.
"We've noticed it out of Pakistan, Yemen, Qatar and China. They are actively searching for information that is disclosed in this fashion because it is a great source of intelligence," Boback said.

Man we got a lotta countries to bomb the shit out of don't we?

How many?

My guess would be pretty much every nation which has an intelligence service.

And DavidS, I hate to break this to you, but that would include Israel and England, too. For surely if Pakistan's INTEL agencies are capable of using this system to spy, so too must every nation which spies on its enemies and allies, too.

So, maybe you just need to calm down, eh?

David, what this proves is that we have lax security, not that we should bomb ANYONE

more to the point, Marine One should have been an AMERICAN company and not European

Why the hell the US Government tells us to buy American when they don't even buy American is completely asinine. We should ALL buy American products and services. No offense to our European allies, but this global economy wouldn't be so terrible if we didn't all completely depend on each other. I think we need to back off and slow down on Globalism.

No argument here.

It would be cheaper and over much quicker.
We rebuild anyway and the other countries dont like us ... so.

Is Iran crazy enough to do anything with this information?

Jesus fucking Christ, people are stupid... :banghead:

This guy, needs to be fired without severance if possible. Use the work computer for work, frankly, I think it's bullshit that some people are fighting for their 'rights' to keep the contents of their work computer private from their company. Check your goddamn personal stuff later. If you are done early and bored, think about funny stories in your head. Listen to your iPod. Read a book. SOMETHING!

What I'd REALLY like to know is aside from being modified to carry passengers on the inside, what's the difference between Marine One and any other CH-53?

I'd worry less about what a helicopter designed to haul cargo can do than I would the fighters escorting it. They might have the blueprints for those too. Kind of like having film footage of Mike Tyson back in the 80s, if you ask me.

I would think the comms system is what they're worried about here. If the authentication procedures have not yet been cracked, they will be. Any secrets discussed on Marine One will have to be considered compromised. They'll have to do a complete comms change, and not just on Marine One.

well, the new Marine One is not a CH53
its a 101 (some euro designation)
and they havent even delivered one yet

Yup, a helicopter is not exactly gonna be much use in dodging missiles or heavy fire. especially one as big as that one. It is not the chopper one need worry about, but the flight paths and security involved when he moves around.

Another reason to bomb the fuck out of these people.

Because they have the blueprints of a helicopter?

Are we afraid they'll use it to build a duplicate helicopter?

Are we afraid that they'll be able to gain access to the President's copter and tamper with the fuses?

Maybe we should bomb them, but not because they have blueprints to a helicopter.
