Not really. Well, okay, they might...but there is no real hard and fast majority in Congress. Yet.

More bad news, three out of the four nominees (President and Vice President) are from Congress. The only true outsider is Palin. Too bad she can't VP for someone outside of Washington. We are stuck at selecting another four years of talk but no action. If only they can work as hard in the Oval Office as they do politicking/campaigning. Let's hope Obama or McCain will work just as hard if elected than he would have campaigning.

Here's the problem, can we trust one of the Two Senators who come from a Congress that has a less approval rating than the President, George W. Bush? If you want the next four years as the last eight, we're stuck.

THAT is why I am supporting Obama in this election. Because he has only been in politics for a short time. I still don't trust the Clintons and I hope Obama knows what he's doing with Sen-Joe (not to be confused with Avg-Joe).

The excitement of hope that surrounds this election is that 1/3 term Senator Obama has just enough dirty DC goo on him to know where the snakes are hiding, but not enough on him to have the pet lobbyists of those snakes handing over a receipt for his half-black ass marked "Paid in Full" for the snakes to pin to the wall next to the other 90% of our representation in government that they own.

How many 1/3 term, Junior Senators with no other experience in government would the MONEY behind the DNC and the RNC have allowed to run for president?!? NONE! They groom those players for years... Remember Bob Dole? How many years did that poor bastard have to wait for his shot? And then to run against Clinton after the RNC had buggared things up for a while... Can you say 'Sacrificial Lamb'? (the sarcastic kind, not the Messiah kind) The dude never had a chance!

Just like this election was supposed to belong to Hillary. She was well groomed for the position. She'd been well trained in how the game was to be played - Wheeling and Dealing... making certain that if you want anything you were going to have to trade for it. 4 to 8 years of Hillary would have been the cost of doing business with Georgie and Uncle Dick. Cheap, for the return on investment, and the government game remains intact.

The Hawaiian kid from Chi-Town snuck in the side door, with enough primary votes to leave the faces of the democratic party to either join him, for real or for fake, or look stupid.

The MONEY behind both the DNC and the RNC has known that the republicans were going to loose the 2008 election ever since George Jr. took the opportunity, that I seriously hope was dumb luck, of 9-11 and proceeded to use the fear generated by it to move a LOT of money to the MONEY that owns both parties.

They didn’t care! For the MONEY behind both parties, they knew life wasn’t going to get any worse than the 80's and life with Bill. Sure, they had to pay a little more in taxes, but they were still in control. Every candidate still had to come to one of their parties to have a career. Sure, some remained above the blatant shit – hopefully Sen-Joe is one of ‘em… but all of them, even independents, had to come to their trading post if they wanted to accomplish anything with their career. Wheeling & Dealing 101...

Obama's run caught the MONEY behind both parties with their pants down!

That is why we need to support Obama and every other politician, young and old who is on-board with changing the fundamental way Washington does business.

We will NEVER be able to equitably work out the details of the issues that matter until We, The People wrest access to Congress back away from the Mercenary Lobbyists and people who own them.

Here is a dumb question... How many lobbyists in DC have a foreign owner holding on to their leash...? And the republicans claim 'Country First'?!?!?
