Remind us again how the dems will compromise?

Because the Republicans control the House, dumb fuck.

Yep, they control 1/3 of Government.

Remind me again why the Dems are the ones who should compromise this time?

Obama said they would.

He also said that he wanted the Bush tax cuts to expire on those making more than $250,000/year and campaigned and won on that and the Senate passed a bill making permanent the cuts on those making less than that.

The Republicans rejected both. Now they want to work on cutting Medicare and SS. That's not compromising.

It takes both sides and the Republicans strange protection of the very wealthy while trying to cut programs that help Seniors and the poor is one reason they lost the election.

if you're really serious about cutting the deficit you'll let the Bush tax cuts expire on everybody but you won't because class warfare is the name of the game.

In other words, Democrats have no intention of cutting anything, despite what they said before the election. But we already knew that. Only the suckers who voted for them believed otherwise.

Do you know who Republican strategist Jude Wanniski IS ???read up on him and you will understand why cutting taxes is a bad*thing

No society ever taxed its way to prosperity. Jude Wanniski is obviously a moron.

I'm actually o.k. with them expiring on everyone.

Elections have consequences, republicans have put themselves in a situation where all their sacred cows are at peril at a time when they cannot possibly feel that confident taking a hardline stand. Democrats just do not have that much at stake in this mess so prepare your anus.

Are your really as stupid as all of your posts suggest?

Thanks for admitting that you're one of the suckers.

That's what I love about liberals: They announce to the world that they are stupid.

In other words, he wants to soak the rich. He's been saying that for over 4 years. Where's the compromise?

yep, just screw the other half that didn't vote for the dear leader
It's called an election. We dealt with it after bush. You can suck it up for 12 more years. Go Hillary! :)

Good. He said it for for the longest time. I would rather he tax the rich than me.....the middle class.

Then you're an imbecile. Taxing the rich doesn't help you. It hurts you. The rich invest most of their money. That's why they're rich. Taxing that money means it goes to feed parasites rather than to create jobs and produce goods and services.

you dealt with what? Bush wasn't calling to raise your taxes..
and you people think they will only tax the rich, just wait until THAT doesn't pay for this bloated government and handouts who do you think they'll come after then?

The class warfare has been waged by the extreme far right: the libertarians who hate everyone, the soc cons who hate others not like themselves, the neo-cons who wish to stick to folks overseas, and the neo-econs who despise the working classes.

Let the tax cuts expire on everyone, then raise the taxes on the wealthy even higher.

Yep, that's what elections are about: the majority screwing the minority, two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner. Unfortunately, in their zeal to screw the hated rich, the libturds almost always end up screwing themselves.

There's no way that raising taxes on people making more than $250,000 will even make a small dent in the deficit. The real money is in the $100,000 to $250,000 braket. All the blather about "the rich paying their fair share" is just a ruse to get the camel's nose under the tent. Once the tax increases start rolling, everyone is going to get soaked.

bripat has options if he wishes to not abide by the decisions in a republic run by We the People.

He can resign his citizenship and immigrate.

Unfortunately for you, there is no option for being stupid. It's a life sentence.

No, he's not raising taxes on the rich. That's the talking point of the right. He is reversing a tax cut that wasn't needed and wasn't meant to be permanent.

It is not soaking the rich.

They can handle it.

He's raising taxes on the rich. Anyone who believes otherwise is simply a deluded Obama dolt or a propagandist. When taxes are higher after a given piece of legislation takes effect, it's a tax increase. That's the bottom line.

When taxes increases apply only to the rich, we call that "soaking the rich."

bripat clearly does not wish to live in a constitutional republic of We the People.

Keep that in mind when considering his answers.

Libertarianism is a criminal philosophy.

Think not? Go observe how a prison yard is organized by the prison population. Libertarianism on display.

If we truly lived in a Constitutional Republic we wouldn't even be talking about income tax rates.
