Remember when Republicans called themselves compassionate conservativeā€™s?

Was that all a joke?

Was it a lie?

What are they doing today thatā€™s compassionate?

Perhaps itā€™s all about definitions?

Tax cuts to needy billionaires could be considered compassionate.

Putting children in cages to protect them could be considered compassionate.

Perhaps itā€™s all a matter of perspective?

So what are Republicans doing today that you would consider compassionate?

Weak sauce. Needs more spice.

That's better . . .

This is what Democrats believe:

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.

This is what Republicans believe:

The majority of Republicans say colleges are bad for America (yes, really)

This is why Democrats want affordable education. So people can be able to get and hold jobs where they take care of them selves. We just donā€™t want them to starve or die from illness while trying to do it. Because Democrats are compassionate.

Nah, it was bullshit then too.

oh hell, i remember when they called themselves ' the party of family values '.

that was bullshit too.

last thing i am is 'compassionate' when it comes to 'third world' invaders storming USA Borders and ignoring USA Sovereignty because the 'bush family' wants more third worlders and 'otm' taking an American Way of life AWAY from my kids and Grandkids . And it was Honorary 'hispanic - latino' old Man 'bush' that came up with the phrase [as has been pointed out to you] . And 'gwb' came up Conservative with a thousand points of light as he also wanted approval of flooding the USA with millions of third worlders . In other words , both phrases are BS made to make American dummies even dumber DeanRD .

Historic low unemployment among Blacks seems compassionate after it was in double digits under Obama. The DOW around 26,000 and pensions in good shape seems compassionate. The N.K. regime engaging with the modern world after 70 years of isolation seems compassionate. Addressing the ongoing murder of the unborn (and newly born) seems compassionate What's not to like about the compassionate Trump administration?

I'm curious. How old are you?
Because we have complete records of everything that happened.

We know the economy Bush and the GOP handed Obama.

We know what happened and we know the economy he handed Trump.

Look at how Obama brought down the borrowing and how Trump is driving it up again:

We know what happened. We were there.

So, come on, tell us, how old are you?

You almost gotta laugh at the (foreign based?) amateur propaganda that seems to fuel the radical left these days. Why did the employment graph stop at Feb-2018? Did something amazing happen in April? The GDP never hit 3% on a yearly average during the long, long Obama eight years. Today it seems that 4% is nothing unusual. We are talking about compassion here while the crazy left advocates and encourages violence and assault on people who merely advocate the agenda of the President of the United States.

Tax cuts lead to more jobs for everyone and higher wages hmmm

While republicans were being compassionate and practicing for a charity baseball game, a radical leftie Sanders supporter was living out of his van in Washington D.C. (and meeting with democrat politicians?) and planning assassination. It's only been two years and change and most people don't recognize the name James Hodgkinson. When he was shot and killed by heroic D.C. Police they found a list of every conservative republican lawmaker in his pocket. The FBI seemed confused by the motive of mass killer Stephen Paddock even though the mainstream media characterized his Country Music target as a "Trump rally".

You have everything exactly backwards.
