remember when i said atlas shrugged will change the face of american politics ??

students are important. as a novel it's pretty high up on the list.

Along with Mein Kampf, Das Kapital, and other works of failed political philosophy.

seriously mein kampf ?? or anything bill ayers wrote, including the obama manifesto, filled with lies about his past ?

Hehe- I wasn't even aware than I'm a crank. :D It's a good thing that I come here, so that I can learn these things. ;)

lol no problemo I am painting my kitchen ceiling with semi gloss for the hundreth time. long story.

I wasn't trying to criticize you at all. Crank would be the kindest thing you could call me about now because I am ready to run into the woods scream and scare the crap out of wolverines.

No- I wasn't implying that you were criticizing me in the least. :)

Another poster called those of us who watched the movie "cranks". I wonder what that makes those of us who actually took the time to read the book?

ayn rand's book continue to sell decade after decade....

part two comes out tomorrow. the reason it will change the face of politcs now is because sean hannity and jaun williams and that meathead bob beckel are in the movie. rand's core principles are reflected in the struggle between capitalism, individual achievement and the obama/chicago machine push for european type socialism.

people are tired of working hard to build something only to have the government waste it away.
the next stop in obama's dream train will be the confiscation of private property, to be redistributed to underachievers and the lesser economic class by a subjective elite ruling government class. this concept was also outlined in fritz lang's metropolis.

if obama survives his many scandals, a second term would certainly further weaken our economy, threaten our national security, and diminish our political standing in the world arena.

as a political philosopher, ayn rand was an ok novelist....

who lived on social security at the end of her life and used her 'philosophy' to justify cheating on her poor, weak, husband.

that's true, she sounds more like bill clinton than bill gates. but her personal life isn't what has sustained her concepts for half a century, it was her writing. i'm not even sure if she was a "nice" person. smoker.

really? bill clinton had a "political philosophy" that centered around screwing everyone who wasn't the top 1%?

i don't care about her cheating... i care about the fact that people think her novel is a justifiable and VIABLE political philosophy.

the book i liked...

the people who think it should form the basis for our society...

despicable.

no, he'd screwed anyone, of any percent.

justifiable philosophy.... hmm, i'll have to review my kant, aquinas and bertrand russell and get back to you on that one.
it's so hard to focus on philosophy once the impeachment proceedings begin. i know i've had enough socialism for awhile.

maybe her books are like obamacare, some parts are good. i don't think any of it is mandated. that's kind of the idea. thomas jefferson died broke.
