Remember when Evangelicals called the Catholic Church, "The Great Whore"?

I think that there's always been that Jack Chic fringe that thinks that about the Catholic Church.

But most evangelicals I've met don't think that about Catholics.
Then they aren't proper evangelicals. Not everyone who claims to be a thing are actually that thing.

He already has. It's SOP with Rdweeb... posts crap and runs away.... it's hard to cope with facts that don't support your crap... feel sorry for him.

I have a job. And they don't pay me in crumpled singles.

ok you have a job......so that doesnt explain why YOU start a thread and then never come back to it ......otherwise why start the fucking thing?.......
Don't be so obtuse. Common sense dictates that one is not always able to ALWAYS be on here. It's fair to imagine a situation in where one has just enough time to post a thread and then get caught up with work. I'm quite busy with what I do and often time I get caught up with a project for days. Hence you'll see me sometimes often and then like a week you don't then I'm back, etc., etc.

WTH!?!? ? Don't you RWers believe in hard work and personal responsiblity?

Remember when Evangelicals called the Catholic Church, "The Great Whore" and the Pope was the "Anti Christ"?

Suddenly there is all this support for the Catholic Church.

On Morning Joe, the women at the table agreed with Obama, the men with the Catholic Church. No surprise since the church is run completely by men.

During the last Presidential election, the right explained how Viagra should be "free" because a lack of boner is a "medical condition" and birth control is a "lifestyle choice".

This is a controversy that just won't go away. Obama will have to change his strategy. Probably something like, "If you work at a Catholic institution, then you are eligible for a medical voucher". When a poor woman is standing in the servers line at the Catholic hospital making minimum wage slopping slop, then it's unfair to insist she pay $600.00 to $1,200.00 a year for birth control

For the right to say, "Well, if she is having sex then she's a slut and should stop" screw you. Who are you to tell people what is moral? You applaud executions. I watched a "full house" at the Republican Presidential Debate applaud "en mass".
I disagree with Obama on this and I believe he's wrong. Notwithstanding the hypocrisy of The Catholic Church and Catholic members and the Evangelicals for that matter. The implications of this controversy and the public discourse is very deep, spiritually speaking and biblically speaking, but I won't go there now.

With that said, I have a feeling that this may be a move to get the people of the mindset for Public Option.

With Public Option, this would not have been an issue.

Obama could very well be playing chess, while every one else is playing checkers.

Or he could be playing tic tac toe. He isn't as sharp as some folks think. Hell, he couldn't even decide a yes or no vote back in the day. Present.

Obama Fluffers in overdrive trying to cover for the Ossiahs latest, major, election losing fuck-up

Marc....we are not talking about a thread here or there.......there are quite a few threads started by Dean where he will say some fairly stupid things about Republicans......and when the Questions start.....bingo....no Dean.........Dean said Republicans are AGAINST education and want to end it.....well i asked for one of his wonderful links showing me were any Republican wants to end Education......im still waiting for it.....

There was a poem that was like "first they came for the Jews, I was silent... then they came for the gypsies, I was silent...etc...etc..." at the end of the poem the Nazis came for the guy writting it. (Yeah I don't remember how it actually went but screw it).

Point is the Catholic Church (even though I have my own views of both the Catholics and the Mormons as an evangelical christian) is being unfairly effected by this contraception crap... and it's because it's an institution of faith. Seeing an institution of faith being targeted I have to defend their rights, or I won't be able to complain when Obamanation takes mine.

First They Came

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak out because I was Protestant.

Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Your argument would have validity if the Government was forcing Catholic to practice birth control. Fact is, 98% of Catholic women ignore the senile old transvestite in Rome and practice birth control all on their own.

There is no right being taken here. There is simply a regulation that is being enforced.

that's all health insurance is, a bunch of rules as to what will and won't be supported. Otherwise, they'd just take your money and not provide the care.

A lot of them still do, does that make what Obama is doing right? Would you like a list of Democrats who disagree with him? There are already enough Democratic Senators who spoke out against the contraceptive requirement for the Republicans to get a bill through the Senate to loosen the restrictions Obama is trying to impose by fiat.

I suspect he'll use that as his excuse to the left when he caves.... but it will be because he's realized just how risky it is to take on the biggest swing vote in the country. :eusa_angel:

They don't know how to handle it, that's clear. They're scared of their left wing... and they're scared of the Faith based voters. Oh dear, stuck between a rock and a hard place.

First they're making noises about 'compromise' and then they say 'no compromise'.... typical Obama.

Oh, and now, he's got his Catholic Democrats catching the shit too. And they're not happy - Oh dear oh dear oh dear... what to do?

Yea, they have. And that's great for the conservatives.

Catholics make up a huge voting block - and for the past few decades, the Catholic majority has always been for the person who became President. Coincidence? :eusa_whistle:
