Remember when Evangelicals called the Catholic Church, "The Great Whore" and the Pope was the "Anti Christ"?

Suddenly there is all this support for the Catholic Church.

On Morning Joe, the women at the table agreed with Obama, the men with the Catholic Church. No surprise since the church is run completely by men.

During the last Presidential election, the right explained how Viagra should be "free" because a lack of boner is a "medical condition" and birth control is a "lifestyle choice".

This is a controversy that just won't go away. Obama will have to change his strategy. Probably something like, "If you work at a Catholic institution, then you are eligible for a medical voucher". When a poor woman is standing in the servers line at the Catholic hospital making minimum wage slopping slop, then it's unfair to insist she pay $600.00 to $1,200.00 a year for birth control

But most evangelicals I've met don't think that about Catholics.

That is pure BS. It was the left and unions that were pushing for coverage of viagra claiming it was a matter of good health. They used this to push for coverage of contrceptive. Conservative believe people shoud pay for their own viagra and such.

The woman could always make her partner wear a condom.

Frankly, you want to work within the community. The churches know who is really deserving, and who is scamming the system. If the purpose is to give people a hand up, not a hand out, if the purpose is for a safety net and not a hammock, then you want community pressure on people.

I think the Democratic goal is to make as many people dependent on government as possible. And the GOP unwittingly plays into their hands.
