Remember These Children

The Goldstone Report found no evidence that the Palestinians used human shields.

Of the 91 Palestinian children killed by Israel in 2000, 48 were shot in the head.

Accident or target?

BTW, there were no Israeli children deaths in 2000.

"Belligerent occupation is governed by The Hague Regulations of 1907, as well as by the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949, and the customary laws of belligerent occupation.

"Security Council Resolution 1322 (2000), paragraph 3 continued: 'Calls upon Israel, the occupying Power, to abide scrupulously by its legal obligations and its responsibilities under the Fourth Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in a Time of War of 12 August 1949;...'

"Again, the Security Council vote was 14 to 0, becoming obligatory international law."

What does that have to do with Israel shooting Palestinian children in the head?

If the children are going to strap on bombs, shoot rifles at Isreali soldiers and assist terrorists, they get dead. Life sucks, move on.

Robert Bernstein, Founder, Human Rights Watch...
Significantly, Col. Richard Kemp, the former commander of British forces in Afghanistan and an expert on warfare, has said that the Israel Defense Forces in Gaza “did more to safeguard the rights of civilians in a combat zone than any other army in the history of warfare."

Yeah, they shouldn't allow foreign troops to kill their kids.

The law of armed conflict permits Israeli military self-defense counter-measures in response to Pallie terrorism and aggression.

If Pallies don't want to be killed, they would be well-advised not to pick a fight with Israel.
"On 19 October 2000 a Special Session of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights adopted a Resolution set forth in U.N. Document E/CN.4/S-5/L.2/Rev. 1, 'Condemning the provocative visit to al Aqsa Haram Sharif on 28 September 2000 by Ariel Sharon, the Likud party leader, which triggered the tragic events that followed in occupied East Jerusalem and the other occupied Palestinian territories, resulting in a high number of deaths and injuries among Palestinian civilians.'

"The U.N. Human Rights Commission then said it was '[g]ravely concerned' about several different types of atrocities inflicted by Israel upon the Palestinian People, which it denominated 'war crimes, flagrant violations of international humanitarian law and crimes against humanity.'”

Israel should stop its crimes against humanity.

International Laws

The al Aqsa Haram Sharif is also known as the Har Habayit (or Temple Mount). Non-Muslims and/or Jews may not be able to set foot in Mecca, but Jerusalem is open to all. The Palestinians went crazy after that visit by Sharon. Which is, frankly, why I have a problem with Israel now. Fatah is acting in a non-violent, diplomatic way, but Israel is building settlements. For years Israel complained they are interested in peace, but had no genuine partners for peace. So why not give Fatah a chance, and withhold building for now? Israelis are by nature productive while Arabs, and especially Palestinians, are destructive--so I know it's hard to stop building. But isn't a peace agreement more important than building right now?

""In a recent interview with Palestinian state television, Abbas warned that if all efforts to establish a Palestinian state fail he will dissolve the PA and ask Israel to assume responsibility for the occupation."
Well, my dear judophobic schmucks, there is no occupation, Abu Mazen said so.

Last time I checked, Jerusalem was the capital of Israel, where Jews are permitted to reside, under international law, in fact.

Jerusalem has NEVER in history been a Muslim capital. Never.

Suggesting Jews not live on their own land constitutes racism. Tsk tsk

In fact, the Oslo Accords say nothing of prohibiting Jewish communities in Israel.

In fact, Arab settlements are twice in size as Jewish communities.

In fact, Jewish communities have NEVER been a pre-condition for Pallie-Israeli negotiations.

In fact, Pallies have gone on record as stating they will never recognize Israel's right to exist.

Get your head out of your ass.

I am not talking about Jerusalem. There are differences in opinion even among Israelis, and like Livni said on the ABC program This Week, settlements in the West Bank are not productive to the peace process right now. As she further said, this is not a favor to the U.S., but in Israel's own interest.
It's nice of you to dedicate your life to arguing Israel's case, but eventually a solution must be found. If you think Israel should annex the West Bank, and either expel or absorb 2 million Arabs, so be it. I don't think that's advantageous to Israel. I think a demilitarized, and carefully supervised, Arab state on the West Bank is more to Israel's advantage.
I'm not a blind sheep and capable of independent thought. Even within Israel itself, there are different views about how to settle the matter, once and for all.
