Religion Politics and Money are the three subjects of taboo that you are taught not to talk about socially. Yet the world is built on and revolves around these three topics. They are at the heart of most of the conflicts around the world with million of people being killed over them. So much of the wicked and evil committed by nations of people onto other people is done in the name of God. The nations and people with the most wealth hold and carry more responsibility for the conditions in the world around them.

In the light a person or nation of wealth usually does not look so good in the eyes of God. The Creator of life cannot see the intolerance of other people with different ways by the religious self-righteous leaders in the world as good. Many of the people who use the name of God as their reference to support their statement or platform are doing the work of the devil. Using ones armies to fight in the name of God is as old as recorded time. More and bigger weapons have made us no more safe from our enemies over the course of time. Anything can be used as a tool or a weapon depending upon the user.

As long as people and nations of wealth spend too much money on military programs they will not have the financial resources needed for the humanitarian projects that would make the world a safer place. Only by bringing into balance socially responsible humanitarian projects and military spending can the needed changes be made. Too often the religious and political leaders of the world are self-consumed in self-preservation leading the people the wrong way.

Since the US alone is not the only country that has religion, politics, and money, I'm moving this to religion/ethics.

I have only heard that you aren't supposed to talk about Religion, Politics, or Football (soccer) - learned this when I lived in Italy.

Never heard the "money" subject mentioned.

But....OK.

And?

I have no problem talking about any of the subjects. If others are too intolerant to discuss the subjects in a public forum that is their problem not mine.

It is not the responsibility of government to do charity. Its the responsibility of individuals. The only things government is good for is defense, building infrastructure, and few minor regulations (Usually they do too much). The governments should be focused on defense. The individuals should be the ones working on humanitarian projects. Welfare has been a failure because people have seen it as an entitlement. If you see the people who are giving you welfare, you see it more as a gift as it should. Makes you want to work hard to show you deserved it.

With Judaism being the base religion that Christianity and Islam started from in the Holly Land. A land that attracts the many of highly religiously indoctrinated people of these three faiths. Making the Palestinian-Israeli conflict so very volatile is the fact that three different religions have their religious indoctrinated beliefs that vary in what they believe to be the truth. Combined with the demographic of the population of the region with so much of the world’s oil. Over a billion Muslims or Christians in the world with less than 20 million Jewish people. The Christian’s nations are consuming most of the world’s oil with this being the root to many of the economic and social injustices in the world today. The United States consuming 25% of the world’s oil making up less than 5% world’s population. There is no way the rest of the world’s people can raise their standard of living as the people in the industrial world did today with oil. There are not enough oil reserves in the world for everyone to consume oil the way people do in the new industrial world today.

One side producing while the other side is consuming is the way the world looks to many people today. The capitalist oil consuming nations with the United States the leading using their military forces as well as political and economic policies to guarantee a steady supply of oil. Often creating the leaders of nations (power porker) keeping them divided from the majority of their people. So they have to rely on us for their personal security to their power. How one perceive global, national and local issue is greatly influence by the position one views them.

The religiously indoctrinated people of one faith being united will be separated and divided from other people of other faiths in their belief to the truth. The combination of religious fervor, modern military weapons and oil is a dangerous combination. Many of the mistakes of today are built on mistakes from the past making the problem worst. Only by unraveling some of the wrongs of yesterday and today will we be able to have a safe and secure tomorrow.

Gee, when did they find oil in Israel? Now that would be news.

China and Japan are predominately Christian? I don't think so. Neither is Europe, it's post-religious.
The United States consuming 25% of the world’s oil making up less than 5% world’s population. There is no way the rest of the world’s people can raise their standard of living as the people in the industrial world did today with oil. So they will have to find another way. Just like the people from Europe came here and found another way than primogenture to succeed, way before oil was such a commodity. Or like Japan in the 60's and 70's by outperforming the US in autos and steel.

You are so overstating the US dependence on Middle Eastern oil, though I agree with you, the sooner we open ANWR the better to allow us to reduce any dependence on that hell hole of a region. Better still, develop an alternative to oil altogether, then let the markets/regions care for themselves, free or not.
The religiously indoctrinated people of one faith being united will be separated and divided from other people of other faiths in their belief to the truth. And you propose, what? Let me guess, get rid of the Jews?

How does using oil bring about economic inequality? Are you trying to say that its all oils fault? Im pretty sure that there was economic inequality prior to the discovery of oil.

What does oil have to do with religion anyway?

Stainablity is the key to weather progress is good or bad in society over time. To build-up a society and not be able to maintain it is putting the people of the world in danger. The mass consumption of oil is a relative recent phenomenon over the last hundred years that is the foundation of the modern industrial world. A few privileged people and nations in the world are consuming the majority of oil a natural resource that is not renewable or replaceable. With the majority of the worlds oil supply in Islamic nations and the majority of oil consumption in Christian nations with Asia being the wild card in the world. The old words of religious wars between the Christian and Islamic nations today revolve around oil. The cost of a guaranteed cheap flow of oil to the western industrial nations has been at the expense of the people of the Arab and Islamic world. The military industrial complex is profiting greatly from the current situation in the Middle East.

Explain how Europe is Christian, really.
