Unregistered voters have been outnumbering Rs or Ds for some time and neither party much gives a shit.

After all as long the RICH pay their help, why would either party really care what the people think?

Both the left and the right are focused on preserving the chaos not solving any problems.

Everyone should completely divest themselves of affiliation with the 2 party system and search instead for unaffiliated, capable people to represent them.

We are where we are because our political system is 2 dimensional.

That's an interesting thought exercise. And yes, all hell would break loose in both Washington and the media.

The political parties depend on their bases, those who will blindly and simplistically vote for whomever has the correct letter after their name. Imagine if the parties couldn't take their sheep for granted and actually had to work for their votes. Holy crap, I bet you'd see some of the politicians give up and get a REAL job.

The media would be in heaven. So many more independent thinkers to talk to and survey.

Yep, this would be pretty cool.
